An American who was among four Christian activists kidnapped last year in Iraq has been killed, a State Department spokesman said Friday.
The FBI verified that a body found in Iraq Friday morning was that of Tom Fox, 54, of Clear Brook, Va., spokesman Noel Clay said. He said he had no information on the other three hostages.
Prayers for his family and friends. We may not agree with his politics, but he certainly did not deserve this, even if he was aware of the risks of coming to Iraq. May the poor bastard RIP.
>>In fact, you'll find that these fruits are taking up the Cross O' Jesus (TM) on behalf of all sorts of leftist causes including saving trees from being clear-cut.<<
I actually have heard radio spots here in Dallas on CONSERVATIVE radio KSKY, by a group called something like "Evangelicals Against Global Warming" or some such crap.
The voice-over said something like "Evangelicals all over are banding together to stop Global Warming" and so forth. It was such thinly disguised leftist propaganda.
Of course, to these lefties, Evangelicals are a bunch of stupid, idiotic, easily-fooled dupes, who will believe their rot.
I hope these morons keep pouring their money into such futile efforts. Leftists are such I-D-I-O-T-S!
LOL
...we can end all of this right now if we had a leader with the courage to fight this war to WIN this war!
:(
>>SD, A modicum of decorum please. An American has been killed. We can thrash politics on another thread.

I stand by my post #29. If you sympathize, that's your right.
I do not. I am simply stating the truth.
Bastards.
Some of in-laws are ardent Marxists and Mennonite activists like many of these kooks. No doubt they're mourning tonight, but, they'll hate Bush, conservatism, capitalism and the American way of life even more in the morning.
I suppose not. Did Rachel Corrie know trhe risks of going there? No. These professional American protesters, who apparently hold no 9-5 jobs they have to report to, and have unlimited resources to travel domestically and abroad to protest, know nothing of the risks. What are the risks of violently protesting Stateside? You get arrested, put in a bus with a bunch of groovy, fun people where you sing Imagine and Kumbaya on the way to comfy city jail, and then you get off with a small fine (worst case scenario) or nothing, usually. You make new friends along the way. It's a social situation in this cold, lonely world, don't discount that aspect. Americans know nothing of risks.
Yep......

Oh well......
May this poor man Rest in Peace.
THIS IS WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST FOLKS!
Karma.
Like Marla Ruzicka.
He went over there thinking we were wrong..that we were telling lies....that the muslims were the good guys and we were the bad guys...now he knows the truth....
OK, then let me also make the point that I don't care what the nationality, politics or religion of someone is if they are killed by cowards they didn't deserve it. This guy may have been a retard but in no way did he deserve to be ganged up on, trussed up then chopped up like a piece of meat. He was not harming people.
I would have preferred that the American escaped and lived to tell us of his mistakes. A changed man who would have realized that he was wrong. Would that have happened if he had escaped? We will never know now will we?
I do not sympathize with the mans cause at all. I saw the posts that are now yanked, and think human decency is in order. This will be a high profile thread, and Jim has my respect. Common courtesy for h_n_o, who started the thread.
This man was no true American. He left the good old USA to encourage those who would murder me and my family, and you and your family.
Was Jose Padilla a true American? How about Johnny Taliban? I thought not. How about the 911 pilots?
No crocodile tears here. Sorry, I'm fresh out.
Bingo! This guy is a balding, middle-aged Rachel Corrie - different body but the same kind of mind.
I expect more of this in the future as the left activates every ally it has. The Protestant church is, for all practical purposes, apostate and has been for decades. Their seminaries turn out rubbish under platitudes of peace. The only cover they maintain is for the die-hards still left in the churches of their youth and who foot the bills. The day has come, however, when every global event brings more of the corruption to the surface in support of their overarching heretical agenda - man as god.
This guy is Rachel Corrie in drag - nothing more. Pity his kin.
In Texas we have a saying that says "He needed killing". This guy didn't "need killing".
So would most of us. Tell us of his mistakes? Like? Like? Names, please. Barry Bonds? Elvis Presley? Jimmy Carter? Sorry, it may be just me, but I can't think of an American in recent memory who escaped (whatever there was to escape) and "tell us of his mistakes".
I guess the "Religion of Peace" gave him all the peace he could handle, and then some..
It is most unlikely that I would ever find myself in Mr. Fox's situation, but should things take an odd turn and I found myself in his situation, I would ask that every kind of violence be brought to bear on the perpetrators by the most magnificent military the world has ever known.
