An American who was among four Christian activists kidnapped last year in Iraq has been killed, a State Department spokesman said Friday.

The FBI verified that a body found in Iraq Friday morning was that of Tom Fox, 54, of Clear Brook, Va., spokesman Noel Clay said. He said he had no information on the other three hostages.

Looks like the terrorists have won

That would make the writers(crAP)of this story happy.

While I'm sorry he was killed, and no doubt suffered before he died, the truth of the matter is that he went over there to try to harm our war effort. He was a traitor to his country. That said, prayers for him and his family.

You gotta feel bad for a guy who goes to Iraq to prove WE, the USA, are abusing the Al Qaeda terrorists in Iraq and he ends up like this. Like Elmer Fudd says, "It's a scwewy world."
<<

If that is what he did, I do not feel the least bit sorry for the dead idiot.

(I'm feeling feisty tonight.)

May his family and friends find comfort and solace. He was an American regardless.

It's unfortunate that he was killed, but I do not consider him guiltless in his own death.

Nothing personal but that's crap. He was a US citizen and didn't in any, way shape or form deserve to be slaughtered like some kind of animal. He was killed by f'ing robotic evil worthless cowards. Even the worst American with the most vile politics is worth a 1000 of the muzzie scumbags.

he was there to investigate horrors committed by our courageous troops against jailed suspects. I guess the ROP members didn't care that he was there to bash our troops and America; a muslin snake scum is still that with or w/out lipstick, will these peace activists ever learn

I do not sympathize with the death, however savage, of people who side with those who would murder us.

I make no apologies.

I suppose he knew the risk of going there.

You dont have to be in Iraq to protest about it.

What was the joke about the shiek going to a Washington DC party where he met the producer of Star Trek? Seems he told him his son liked Star Trek but wondered why there were no mooslims on the ship. The producer answered that it takes place in the future and there ain't no friggin' mooslims !!!!!!!

Somethings gonna give, I don't know when, but it's not going to be pretty and the PC crown ain't gonna like it....F'm

Oh, that's what he was up to alright. Here's his sponsoring organization: http://www.cpt.org/publications/history.php . In fact, you'll find that these fruits are taking up the Cross O' Jesus (TM) on behalf of all sorts of leftist causes including saving trees from being clear-cut. Of course, there is no record I can see of them taking their bold stands against leftist mayhem or communist regimes. Boo-hoo. Save your sorrow for real heroes like our military whom these idiots seek to impede and undermine.

From this Wash Post article...........

The statement added, "We (Christian Peacemaker Teams) believe that the root cause of the abduction of our colleagues is the U.S. and British-led invasion and occupation of Iraq."

Fox had left instructions as to what should be done if he was kidnapped. "Under no circumstances did he want any violent efforts to rescue him," Maulden said.

Pearl Hoover, another member of the support team and pastor of the Northern Virginia Mennonite Church, noted that Fox and his colleagues had been trying to help Iraqis who were being held without access to lawyers or family members. "The very thing that he was in Iraq trying to help with is now happening to him."

This is a horrible question, but, does his body have a head?

It's a common impression when somebody's get killed by muslimes. You have a point when you asked that. What if when a muslim dies, well ask: Does his head have a body?

Probably.

It's just likely sitting on his back now, though.

Prayers for Tom Fox and his family.

If the kidnappers think that the Canadian Government is going to negotiate, they are wrong.

Harper won't do it.

The other hostage is British.
I don't think Blair will negotiate either.

SD, A modicum of decorum please. An American has been killed. We can thrash politics on another thread.

His citizenship is no more valid to me than the latest inmate addition to any death row block. Yeah, I agree that the Islamo-fascists are sick mothers and ought to be exterminated because of just because of precisely these kinds of murderous things, but this guy went looking for it. Read the link I provide about his sponsor (or cover) organization. He was no friend of America, our troops or our way of life. His citizenship seems to have been by fortune of birth and nothing more - as it is for all travelers.
