Neither is blind loyalty to an out-of-touch White House a "suitable substitute for reason".
One sounds just like a lefty Democrat when one uses name-calling as a debating tactic.

Oh no, I don't know how our country is ever going to be able to survive without Dubai Ports World! I won't be able to sleep tonight!!

If it fractures our diplomatic relationship with the UAE it could very well hurt our ability to project our forces into the ME as well as our ability to gather intel there.

Sleep tight

"They are trying to be a mecca of industry and capitalism"
True, but is it REALLY capitalism as I understand capitalism to be defined when the GOVERNMENT controls the means of production.Since World Ports is state of Dubai owned, isn't that the the same thing as if the Federal Govt. here ran Apple,GM or Walmart?

Some times mob mentality turns out to be right for all the wrong reasons.

Personally I am glad to see a majority of Americans stand up for something whether I agree with them or not.

Next comes borders, I hope.

Halliburton isn't equipped; IIRC, this is outside the scope of their operations.

You honestly think Halliburton or some other company would buy this operation if it was not a profit center?

I wonder what manner of reaction would come from the port workers unions and the Democrats if the American company Halliburton brokered a deal.

You must mean the NON UNIONIZED company known as Halliburton. LOL!!

Not yet but I will be when U.S. Navy ships are no longer moored to the piers there.

Didn't see a sarcasm tag so I'd like to ask ... where would you prefer docking them instead?

So yes, you're willing to say all Muslims are terrorists, then, right? Convenient definition. I can't wait to hear your "solution" to this problem. 1 billion people are a lot of terrorists to deal with!

Read the Koran and get a clue.
To be Muslim is to believe in jihad.
You can't be a Muslim and not believe in jihad.
Similar to be a Christian and not believing in Christ.

Not all Muslims believe in violent Jihad. But they tend to contribute to Jihad movements and they punch out babies so fast in places like Europe that you have a demographic Jihad. The Jihadists love high Muslim birthrates. And the Muslims in Europe suck off the social welfare system to a fair thee well. Their huge families are subsidized by the stupid Europeans.

Actually, the caution about the door hitting one on the way out might better be applied to conservatives trying to run in the midterms.

As for intransigent conservative base members: if having such results in so many knives stuck in one's back, the POTUS may just decide they can take a flying leap through the apocryphal screen door, as well.

Just who does everyone think is the biggest fund raiser in the GOP at the moment? Hint: Rush was talking about it just a minute or so ago.

In my opinion this is a big step BACKWARDS in US diplomacy. The UAE was ally in the War on Terror. Its an embarassment to this administration and this country.

Port security WILL NOT change no matter who runs the port. The argument has been, but two of the highjackers were from the UAE. Yeah and Richard Reed, aka the shoe bomber, was a British citizen and Mohommed Atta trained in Germany. Cripes some of the highjackers learned how to fly jets in the U.S. I guess we can't run them either.

This whole port deal has been fueled by panic and an uneducated public.

This proves that they were no friends of ours in the first place and congress has done the right thing (for a change)!!!

What exactly did this Company do to deserve the treatment it got at the hands of our Congress and bone headed pundits?

The Congress most likely HURT our security with these actions if they drove off this ally in the Middle East.
