If the UN fails to act on this, it will, I hope, be the end of that organization. i think we may see some sort of NATO action against Iran. Israel will not be called upon to go it alone.

My understanding is that all Israelie armed forces take thier oath to serve on Masada, which held out for a couple of years from a Roman legion, and then committed suicide rather than being taken as prisoners. They shout in Hebrew, "Never again" They will take whatever steps necessary as their defense minister said to protect the nation. These folks have been around for 6,000 years for a reason. The UN has only been around for 60. I know which one will survive long term.
The US is forced to act rather than let Israel do it. It was the same in Gulf War 1 and Gulf War 2. Whatever it takes, Israel must not get involved.
The UN is an enabler of all things evil in this world of corrupt governments.
