Clooney claimed that Hollywood talked about social issues before anyone else. "We are the ones who talked about AIDS when it was just a gay disease," he said.Yes - and their glamorization of the deadly life-style helped it to flourish into an indiscriminate disease.

"Bjork could not be here. She was trying on her Oscar dress and Dick Cheney shot her." That's pretty good.

The only interesting actor was the fashion designer what's his name...Mizrahi.
Hitch was right: actors are stupid. And numero uno stupido is Clooney. He's embarrassing. His mummy must have told him he was cute. NOT!

The most ironic award: "Brokeback Mountain" won for Best ScoreOkay, that's a funny line.
The fact that a "song" called It's hard being a pimp out there won an Oscar for Best Song says about all you need to know about the direction Hollywood is going.

Didn't watch it...did catch best actor, actress and picture. I hoped and prayed the homo sheepherders...they're called shepherds...not cowboys...wouldn't win...and it didn't THANK THE LORD...watching a group of traitors in hollyweirdo is no longer my bag of good entertainment...

I am sorry, but this article is absurd. To slam Capote as just a "gay-themed" movie is shallow and priggish. Truman Capote was a major figure in literature, and this film is not about his gayness in any way, per se.
And Hirsen is as humorless as the Oscar audience he criticizes. To wit...
Many of the stars seemed incapable of laughing at themselves. But when Stewart let loose with a joke that was at the expense of Vice President Dick Cheney, the guffaws flowed freely.
That joke was not a dig at Dick Cheney, it was a dig at Bjork. And it was damn funny.
