Brocow (spelling intentional) made sure he ended the piece by establishing that Truman (a good Democrat) was for equal rights and Eisenhour (one of those nasty racist Republicans) was for segregation.
God bless that medal of honor winner. (I fault my lack of short-term memory for not remembering his name; not mentioning him by name is in now way showing any lack of respect for the man and his efforts on our country's behalf.)
Shame on those who continually try to rewrite or distort history and destroy this country in the process!

Wasn't he a speed skater??
I actually was a summer olympian...track and field...the decathlon to be specific. (but I like the winter games better)
I hit the qualifying mark for the '84 games but broke my ankle early in the season and never got to the trials.
I stated I was at the '84 games- a dozen of my were on the field competing on the decathlon!!

I am certain it was, mystery. However, it was the same outside the military, too, and for Bill Clinton to be given such prominence in this program is just too grating for me.
Well, I will be glad to see this guy's trip to Italy.

Give the guy a break.
He came to Turin to "rock," and he rocked.
And by "rocked" I mean thoroughly embarrassed himself.

you may not like the way it is presented but it is true...sad but true... The way Brokaw is egging this man on, it's hard to tell what's true and what Brokaw wants to be true.
This piece was advertised as how an American soldier helped liberate Torino. But only 30% of it has been about that, the other 70% has been a "hate America fest".
Brokaw has portrayed the German Army in a more positive light than the American Army.

Clinton being involved in this story is the only thing that irritates me....like I said, he shouldn't be allowed within 100ft of the MOH medal.....

He's not that fat. He's a pretty big guy. He could maybe lose 40-50 pounds, but he's got a lot of muscle and is very tall.

"No, cut! Can we edit that out?"

If "Dancing with the Stars" is true to form, there's little need to watch ABC before 9 p.m. as the first hour should be a rehash of what we've seen this season. At 9:00 p.m. "Dancing with the Stars" may show us something new and the challenge will be multi-tasking the remote to watch both; posting to FR and finally calling friends to discuss the results.

You know, just when you think we could be making some progress and forgetting about race, someone like Brokaw has to bring it back up. I know. This was out of left field--literally. America has and will progress beyond race. It's the MSM & the libs that want us all to believe nothing's changed since 1960.
And for what it's worth, I thank your dad for his service.

She's much thinner now then when they started, but even at the start of the show when she was 25-30 heavier she was still beautiful.

here's the funny thing...Costa's says the military is fully integrated and a bastation of equal opportunity...according to the libs minorities are specifically targeted and exploited by the military...

Rulon Gardner was the wrestler.. Here is his site. I was on the edge of my seat watching him.
That is an interesting story. Sorry to hear about the broken ankle tho. That must have been a bitter pill. To put that much effort into something and then miss it~bummer.
At least you got to leave your mark on Olympic history in other ways. That is neat. :]

And Costas says. "The military,
for whatever other problems it has, offers the greatest opportunity to African Americans..."
Oh, and I don't believe for a minute that the guy ate mountain lion chops. Just don't believe that one at all!
