I would absolutely love to see Haliburton get the deal. That would be satisfying on several different levels.

If Halliburton wanted to get into that business, they could have. Fact is, they apparently don't.

No American company made a bid, so it's not rational to oppose the deal because of "outsourcing" concerns.

oppose

Muslims are involved, and their belief system of one God Allah and Mohammed as his prophet and the Koran and Hadiths the basis of the faith, don't bode well for non-Muslims.

We can see this all over the world through the centuries.

As long as a person professes to be a Muslim, and especially friendly I don't trust them.

Friendliness with non- believers is forbidden. However they are alowed to deceive us infidels, using Taqiyya, and Hudnas, if the deception is for the furtherance of Islam.

I didn't make the rules Allah did. I don't want to bargain in good faith with Muslims who have an entirely different agenda.-Tom

Koran: 5.51: O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

Support, but will still keep looking for information regarding the sale.

Initially I had not made a decision on the matter and was waiting on more info. More and more I am seeing both parties (and supporters) jumping to position without getting all the facts.

Now our elected representatives will either have to eat crow or stay with their decisions which where most likely based on shoddy info. Which do you think they will chose? I am about 95% positive I know what it will be and the decision wont be good for the UAE, and ultimately us.

I support the deal after learning more facts about it. I maintain that the White House seriously botched the handling of this. For being career politicians, they sometimes astonish me with their complete incompetence/naivete in the political arena.

I know. But it is still a satisfying "pie in the sky" thought.

Nobody except American should control our ports...Not even Britain. Actually by listening to Fox news today I learned that foreign country's may LEASE space in some ports. But we still control that space. We still control what they do there. They are by no means in control of those ports. Big difference. It always makes me cringe to see the farm we call America being sold out.

Support, just like I did when I first heard the terror in the voice of Chuckles "I'm gonna trample you if you get between me and a tv camera" Schumer.

And you can bet the Rats goal is a Federal takeover of all ports.

Just checked out something interesting.

Corpus Christy, Port of Houston and Beaumont are three of the ports in question.

Ft Hood makes most of their armored deployments from these three ports.

Do you really really want to see Arabs in control of them?

Support.

Many who oppose do so for protectionist, anti-free trade reasons, not so-called security reasons. They don't want any foreign-owned company operating any business inside the US, although US companies operate in many countries around the world.

One Governor that is affected by this deal (Ehrlich MD) seems to have gone in favor of it.

I am leaning towards support of it. I think this is nothing more than a Democratic plan to wrest the security issue from the Republicans.

In fact, I feel a song coming on:

HRC singing "Sitting on the Deal with Dubai" (Tune: Sitting on the Dock of the Bay) Apologies to DFU if he's already done this one.

Going for another run
I’ll be running when November comes
Watching the polls roll in
Oh, don’t let ‘em roll away again

Sitting on this deal with Dubai
Watching the polls rise high
And just a-sitting on the deal with Dubai
It’s sublime

I’m the worst since Lucrezia Borgia
Dreadful in every way
Cause power is all that I live for
And I let nothing at all get in my way

So I'm just
Sitting on this deal with Dubai
Watching the polls rise high
And just a-sitting on the deal with Dubai
It’s sublime

Looks like nothing’s gonna change
I’ll make Bushie take the blame
It’s the best thing we democrats do
Don’t worry, I’ll remain the same

So I'm just...
Sitting on this deal with Dubai
Watching the polls rise high
And just a-sitting on the deal with Dubai
It’s sublime

You know I’ve got some stones
And, ambition just won’t leave me alone
And principles, I have outgrown
They’re in a locker deep with Davy Jones

Now I'm just...
Sitting on this deal with Dubai
Watching the polls rise high
And just a-sitting on the deal with Dubai
It’s sublime

Support. All it took was researching the facts and understanding the Dems were race baiting. Quite funny isn't it? The party of multiculturalism hates and demonizes Arabs, all for power. Can't profile at an airport, but you can claim all Arabs are potential terrorists.

People, we are not at war with Islam. We are at war with radical, militant islamacism . We shouldn't be spitting in the eyes of our allies.

Strongly support. We need to nurture allies in that part of the world as well as implement an economic divide-and-conquer strategy. It's political dynamite, though, and was handled with nearly criminal ineptness. A massive PR effort must be undertaken quickly to help win the mid-term elections.
