FR Poll: After a few days of fact finding and debate, do you now support or oppose the Dubai Ports deal?

Undecided
If Halliburton wanted to get into that business, they could have. Fact is, they apparently don't.
No American company made a bid, so it's not rational to oppose the deal because of "outsourcing" concerns.
Muslims are involved, and their belief system of one God Allah and Mohammed as his prophet and the Koran and Hadiths the basis of the faith, don't bode well for non-Muslims.
We can see this all over the world through the centuries.
As long as a person professes to be a Muslim, and especially friendly I don't trust them.
Friendliness with non- believers is forbidden. However they are alowed to deceive us infidels, using Taqiyya, and Hudnas, if the deception is for the furtherance of Islam.
I didn't make the rules Allah did. I don't want to bargain in good faith with Muslims who have an entirely different agenda.-Tom
Koran: 5.51: O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.
I know. But it is still a satisfying "pie in the sky" thought.
Support, just like I did when I first heard the terror in the voice of Chuckles "I'm gonna trample you if you get between me and a tv camera" Schumer.
LOL, excellent points.
And you can bet the Rats goal is a Federal takeover of all ports.
Just checked out something interesting.
Corpus Christy, Port of Houston and Beaumont are three of the ports in question.
Ft Hood makes most of their armored deployments from these three ports.
Do you really really want to see Arabs in control of them?
Many who oppose do so for protectionist, anti-free trade reasons, not so-called security reasons. They don't want any foreign-owned company operating any business inside the US, although US companies operate in many countries around the world.
One Governor that is affected by this deal (Ehrlich MD) seems to have gone in favor of it.

I am leaning towards support of it. I think this is nothing more than a Democratic plan to wrest the security issue from the Republicans.
In fact, I feel a song coming on:
HRC singing "Sitting on the Deal with Dubai" (Tune: Sitting on the Dock of the Bay) Apologies to DFU if he's already done this one.
Going for another run
Ill be running when November comes
Watching the polls roll in
Oh, dont let em roll away again
Sitting on this deal with Dubai
Watching the polls rise high
And just a-sitting on the deal with Dubai
Its sublime
Im the worst since Lucrezia Borgia
Dreadful in every way
Cause power is all that I live for
And I let nothing at all get in my way
So I'm just
Sitting on this deal with Dubai
Watching the polls rise high
And just a-sitting on the deal with Dubai
Its sublime
Looks like nothings gonna change
Ill make Bushie take the blame
Its the best thing we democrats do
Dont worry, Ill remain the same
So I'm just...
Sitting on this deal with Dubai
Watching the polls rise high
And just a-sitting on the deal with Dubai
Its sublime
You know Ive got some stones
And, ambition just wont leave me alone
And principles, I have outgrown
Theyre in a locker deep with Davy Jones
Now I'm just...
Sitting on this deal with Dubai
Watching the polls rise high
And just a-sitting on the deal with Dubai
Its sublime

I support the President on this one- whatever he decides is good enough for me.
People, we are not at war with Islam. We are at war with radical, militant islamacism . We shouldn't be spitting in the eyes of our allies.
Strongly support. We need to nurture allies in that part of the world as well as implement an economic divide-and-conquer strategy. It's political dynamite, though, and was handled with nearly criminal ineptness. A massive PR effort must be undertaken quickly to help win the mid-term elections.
