It is still increasing, but at a much lower rate.
China is, by the way, seeing its RATE of population increase falling dramatically. The majority of males in the coming generation (since females are often aborted) as is the case more dramatically in India, is also a very bad sign....look for war.
At least the parts that we like. That probably has a lot to do with how things change.

Guess again. Jews were being killed in great numbers since the Middle Ages. Poroms occured as a matter of course before almost every Crusade. The Reconquest of Spain had it's "convert of die" period. Every European country records pogroms in their history every other decade or so. The only difference is that Nazi Germany applied the process of industrialization to the task. Nor were Jews the only ethinc minority killed in the Holocaust. The list also included political dissidents of all stripes and ethnicities, Serbs, gypsies, homosexuals, and anyone considerd "intelligencia" (i.e. anyone politically or philosophically opposed to the Nazi State).
The Soviet Union killed as many (if not more) of it's own citizens than Hitler did. The Soviets also killed more Poles, Ukrainians, Hanseatic Germans, Armenians, Hungarians, Moldavans and Finns, for example,than the Germans ever did.
Mass murder in Europe was not something ushered in during the 1940's.
When you talk about the Neo-Nazi, Blackshirts and SKinhead movements in Europe, ask yourself this question: Would you entrust the future of your civilization to what, for all intents and purposes, are street gangs? And street gangs motivated, mostly, by their own disillusionment and disaffection?
That's how Mussolini and Hitler got started, you know.
For what it's worth, I'd still trust the Bobby on the Street, the Guardia Civil in the airport and the Carabinieri in front of the Colluseum waaayyy before I'd trust a guy who lives to throw bottles and riot at a football game.
You are arguing with yourself. It's not whom we oughta trust, it's who we think is going to respond forcefully to the clear and present danger of Islamism -- the sensitivity trained Bobbys, or the hooligans and the lower class natives. We shall wait and see.
Arguing with myself? Hardly. You missed the point -- The Bobbies may be "sensitive" but they are the leaglly-established, taxpayer-supported first line of defense. They are creations of the Western Democratic state, and as such, an expression of the majority of the democratic people of the UK.
So are the amries, intelligence agencies and governments of the European Continet. They are "the will of the people".
What you envision is a mass-movement of disorganized, undeputized, extra-legal mobs motivated not by the desire to create a more-civilized environment; they are sociopaths.
If you want your country righted, I fairly doubt you'd enlist or sanction the services of such folks. That would be like turning all law enforcement and military operations in this country over to the Klan. They might fix the immediate problem through violence and counter-terror, but what do they leave in it's place?
I have been saying for a long time that Europe is probably doomed, and the reasons are not hard to see.
Europe can be saved, but it will take an effort that most Europeans feel uncomfortable making because it means sacrifice.
Either Europe gives up it's four-week-vacation-reire-at-45-with-gov't-subsidized-maid-service mentality or it will go the way of Constantinople. What's at stake is the very survival of Western Culture.
Europeans need to be reminded of what they have and what they will lose if they don't do the following things;
1. Demand and defend civil society
2. Reject the "philosophies" of a legion of very bad French and German thinkers which preach cultural suicide and nihilism
3. Remember that rights are granted by God, and preserved by people willing to die for them
4. Stop the economic rot in their societies caused by excessive government intrusion into every aspect of operations and hiring practices
5. Demand that Muslims either agree to be part of a civil society based upon laws and common custom or they leave. If need be, forcibly.
6. Dismantle the gigantic welfare state which is a leftover defense mechanism against communism
7. Disband the EU; anything that has both France and Germany in bed together does not bode well for anyone.
8. Find some way to make the institutions of Western Civilization (the church, the army, the 'core' academy (i.e. non-liberal arts subjects)) more attractive options for their young people
9. Stop importing "taxpayers" for the sake of propping up welfare systems, and simultaneously believing that those imports don't need to, or can be, assimilated.
10. Stop the petty bickering with the US over issues that basically devolve into matters over "prestige" and public relations ,and recall the historical common cause between the continents..
Until recently, I was a big believer that NATO should be abolished since there was no longer a Soviet threat. But now I'm not quite so sure: someone is going to have to fight for Europe, and once again, it just might have to be Americans.

I also believe that if the stuff hits the fan in Europe, and if there is not mass, instant surrender, the US will again have to try to save them. Truthfully, I do not think that any more American blood should be shed for Europe. I know that there are those that would say that it would be in our own interests, but look at what has happened to Europe. Perhaps they should try to save themselves, then perhaps freedom would mean more to them than it does now.
