"--and folks specializing in Islamic finance stand to make a great deal of money." As as everybody knows, making a great deal of money is a very bad thing.

Look this is private business, we have no bases to interject the Govt into a private business deal, let her buck. Amazing how the "Conservatives" are the one pushing despeately to grow the Govt involvment here. Libertarians are against government involvement. Conservatives are for limited government involvement. Conservatives are all for government when the protection of the nation is involved.

Hey, I'm happy today that Rush mentioned the words Able Danger. Says that because of Able Danger we did know who the 9-11 hijackers were. I'll take whatever few utterances of "Able Danger" from Rush that I can get.

I don't have a problem with more scrutiny...but Condoleeza Rice, Don Rumsfeld, and John Snow were on the committee that approved the deal.
As far as Rice and Rumsfeld are concerned, there is no one I trust anymore. I understand that this committee was set up at the request of the Congress.

I don't mind the extra scrutiny.. Like I said there is more to the Rats being against this cause of security concerns. If the rats are so concerned about this nation security, they would not whine about the war in Iraq..

I don't have a clue if turning over the ports to Dubai is a good idea, great deal or not. It appears to be a fairly complex issue.
What I do know however is that our RNC/Administration communications dept. has dropped the ball once again.
First we let the msm have a free stomach punch with our VP on a simple hunting accident and now we are doing it all over again. My only question is why? Where the hell is our side of the equation and why wasn't it presented better than what we are hearing now?

Ok Sensi, please explain to me how the Company that LOADS many of the 9,000,000 Continers shipped to the USA each year is suddenly some sort of unacceptable security risk to UNLOAD those containers at 6 US Ports?

Agreed, unless this is a calculated political move meant to obtain an end result we have yet to see, never let the press get out in front of a story to spin it in the worst possible light.
To: rodguy911
Some of the answer to our question is that our current administration does not want to share with potential terrorists all the details in place to protect shipments coming to the US. The 5% inspection of containers is untrue, but the real number is not for open consumption, along with lots of other details.

This is a life and death issue with implications for our nation in a world where Pakistan and North Korea already have nukes and Iran probably has them courtesy of Russia and North Korea. Why did our President think we would give this sellout a pass? And why did he go along with it in the first place? I'm really disappointed in what's happening. And to top it off, Hitlery and Chuckie are jumping on board, but for the wrong reasons. This is just a nightmare.

Kind of hard to predict what the Democrat Senate Election Committee was going to send out a Press Release about Rod. Kind of hard to for the Admin to fight back when the Hysterics have just tuned out any of the facts that did not conform to their initial panic stricken reaction. Real a shameful display by some "Conservatives" how naive they are about Junk Journalist manipulating information for Partisan Propaganda

Don't get me wrong. I trust GWB with everything I have. It's the PR, Communications aspect of the last two stories that I am questioning.
Last night I had to watch my congress person on the 11 O'clock news on t.v. backing away from the port issue as fast as she could. She is a Republican and I hate to see this kind of stuff going on! If she does not have enough inside info to know what is going on, who the hell does?

I don't question what GW does. He has far more info than I ever will and has an excellent track record. What I am questioning is why we have to always look so bad in the process, where the heck is our counter.
