Bin Laden Vows Never to Be Captured Alive AP - 44 minutes ago
CAIRO, Egypt - Osama bin Laden vowed never to be captured alive and said the U.S. military had become as "barbaric" as Saddam Hussein in an audiotape reposted on a militant Islamic Web site after first being broadcast last month.
In the tape posted to the Web site Monday, bin Laden offered the United States a long-term truce but also said his al-Qaida terror network would soon launch a fresh attack on American soil. The tape was initially broadcast Jan. 19 on Al-Jazeera, the pan-Arab satellite channel.

I wonder why the headline reads "vows"? This is an audiotape, recorded who-knows-when.
The only surefire-accurate tense to use here is "vowed".

OK. But I want his head on a Pike and permanently mounted out in front of the U.N.

They won't be Helen of Troy look-a-likes, more akin to Helen of Thomasses. (:>)

OBL should be obliged, and soon.
Almost 3 years ago Bin Laden said that he would die in the belly of the eagle within one year. Almost 3 years later the coward hasn't lived up to his threat and the geniuses that support him have managed to overlook it.

can anyone begin to imagine what the 72 virgins that await Bin Laden must look like?

Fist thought that came to my mind was about
his failing health again. We know he's been
on dialysis for years. Anyone who works with
these patients can also tell you that it is
only a matter of time before the deteriorization
progresses past any amount of cleansing treatments.
Is it possible OBL has had to face his demise
by natural causes?

For all his tough talk about not being taken alive, he sure is hiding like a scared little girl. Sort of reminds me of the bravado of saddam "ok, i surrender" hussein. When the US Marines or US Army Infantry knock the lid of his spider hole, bin laden will wet himself like a nervous little cocker spaniel and surrender faster than a frenchman.

This would have been news about two years ago. I think the LMSM has already reported the fact that Bin Laden isnt going to be taken alive.
It strikes me that it has been reported that in addition to a body guard of radical followers, Bin Laden is surrounded by mine fields and sleeps with an explosive belt. The belt is his final insurance that he will not be taken alive.
If he doesnt want to be taken alive it is fine by me. What about saturation bombing with CBUs? Had an interesting modification during Vietnam called the Hayes Dispensers that bulk loaded CBUs into a BUFF.

I agree. So many think that this big wuss will kill himself rather than being captured. Bull! He's nothing but a coward and will surrender in an instant. If he's so fearless of death and he hates America so much, why hasn't HE piloted a suicide mission?

The story of Bin Laden's dialysis/kidney problems is an urban myth circulated for years. Most recently rebuffed in Richard Miniter's new book, Disinformation.
Nope, we'll have to get him ourselves.
