Democrats blast Cheney secrecy after shooting [Clinton, Reid, Schumer.....]
"Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid at a press conference Tuesday said the secretive tendency goes beyond Cheney, pervading the entire Bush White House.
"I think the reason it took the vice president a day to talk about this is part of the secretive nature of this administration," the top Senate Democrat said. "They keep things pretty close to the chest.""
Oops, forgot the drudge link:

"Talk about secrecy. The vice president accidentally shoots someone and keeps that a secret for nearly a day. That man is now very sick," Reid, D-Nev., told reporters Tuesday.
Must have been the stroke talking.
Beautiful. First Harry puts his foot in his mouth with Abramoff and now this! Hillary with Vince Foster! Ted Kennedy...well. Hypocrites!!!
Great find!
In fact, he is but a walking zombie having a "Weekend at Bernies" moment.
When the Nevada cadaver speaks..........mush spills out of his mouth!!
Dem's to convene investigation of the V.P.'s reporting delay. Sen. Kennedy to chair.
Actually the Cheney people did report the shooting to the media, just not the correct media.
The White House Press Corps is throwing a hissy fit because the Cheney people reported the shooting to a local newspaper, not to them.
That is not being secretive, that is not a conspiracy to cover up.
What it is is a blow to the inflated egos of the WH Press Corps and they are now having juvenile temper tantrums about it.
The Cheney people knew that no matter what media outlet they reported the shooting to, it would go national fast.
The old, run-down, arrogant main stream media just cannot handle that!
Right as I type, Rush i stalking about Hillary and how she denied knowledge of the Rose Law Firm records (which disappeared for 2 years and appeared just after teh statute of limitations ran out) and how she delayed release of Vince Foster's "suicide note" (which wasn't in his briefcase the first time and the signature for which has never been found) for 30 hours (after her assistant Maggie Williams was seen carting boxes of documents out of Foster's office.)
Teddy Kennedy waited overnight to let Mary Jo drown completely before he could be bothered to remember that he had had a little car accident.
Yet these people are jumping all over Cheney for trying to help his friend before he talked to the press.
Must be some more of that compassion tehy're so famous for.
Hey Rush!!! Let's hear about this.
I am shocked, why are we just finding this out? Who is responsible for this? Oh my goodness, the most powerful demonrat in the Senate, and we are just finding out about his TIA. Looks like the demonrats are keeping things close to the chest, just like they always.

Thanks for the reminder!
Jan. 19, 1998: Lewinsky's name surfaces in an Internet gossip column, the Drudge Report, which mentions rumors that Newsweek had decided to delay publishing a piece on Lewinsky and the alleged affair.
Jan. 21, 1998: Several news organizations report the alleged sexual relationship between Lewinsky and Clinton. Clinton denies the allegations as the scandal erupts.
Jan. 22, 1998: Clinton reiterates his denial of the relationship and says he never urged Lewinsky to lie. Starr issues subpoenas for a number of people, as well as for White House records. Starr also defends the expansion of his initial Whitewater investigation. Jordan holds a press conference to flatly deny he told Lewinsky to lie. Jordan also says that Lewinsky told him that she did not have a sexual relationship with the president.
Don't you all know that it's quite alright for any Democrat to hold off telling the media anything for whatever length of time is necessary to get the story straight? It's only wrong if a Republican *withholds* such information. (sarc)

*snortle
A min-stroke??? Is that like a mild heart attack? Well, at least they're O.K., better than that Kopechne girl.
LOL!
