Who is your favorite Republican for President in 2008?
George Allen
Bill Frist
Newt Gingrich
Rudy Giuliani
John McCain
Mike Pence
Condoleezza Rice
Rick Santorum
Tom Tancredo
Undecided/Other
Count me as a vote for Condoleeza Rice - my campaign gear is in the mail (Americansforrice.com)
You get it totally. Rudy would mop any possible dim because he is a brilliant speaker and orator.
If Rudy had a powerhouse VP who was also a conservative, NOT a good old boy like Allen, the VP would be groomed to succeed him. Now that's read political strategery.
Tancredo '08!
Not neccesarily (but maybe). There are many Republicans who like McCain as a choice in 08. They're not very bright, but they like him.
McCain chooses Sen. Susan Collins as advisor

This news should be a moment of clarity for those who have lost their way.
I just wish he was a governor rather than "Congressman"...not a good "first name" to have.
Rudy and/or anyone who can beat the Dems in general and Hellary in particular.
LOL! Good grief. You are so transparent.
George Allen
Allen/Franks
People can disagree on things and still have principles. You're going to have start coming up with better arguments than this every time someone has a different opinion than you. What you say might start to make sense. Also addressing what people actually say and not going off another tangeant in an effort to distract readers might help as well to make your arguments more convincing. As it is, you have nothing but anger and personal insults - which do not amount to facts that will convince anyone.
I'm sure I've just wasted my time with you again, but for some reason I cling to hope. Now, can you respond like a mature adult or will you start posting your butt symbols again at me?
You haven't been paying much attention, then.
This Newt?
As of right now, I'd back McCain too.
He's not my favorite, but he's actually pretty good, and nowhere near deserving of the hatred he gets here.
And intellectually honest people will admit, he'll win easily. You simply can't say that about any other potential nominee.
My #1 priority for 2008 is to make sure Hillary/Feingold/Richardson/Kerry isn't 'protecting' us against the islamofacist. All other concerns are secondary.
If it looks like we'll win nomatter who we nominate, I'd probably say Allen or Owens, if he should run.
(Or Jeb, but that's just not happening)
Please, in a reasonable, intellectually honest fashion, explain why McCain is no different from Hillary.
Bet you a doughnut you can't get anywhere close.
Unfortunately his current first name is not Governor, but "Senator", which is a liability. He seems to also have the personality of a wet paper bag...which doesn't affect his principles, but does affect his stage presence, which unfortunately matters a lot more than it should in the TV age.
I vote for a sidebar poll so that we can make sense of this mess.
Someone who's never run for office, and someone who's run for several and failed spectacularly each time. Now, there's a ticket for ya.
Brownback\Rice is nice in 08
what's the deal with Owens? Is he 100% not going to run?
