Who is your favorite Republican for President in 2008?
George Allen
Bill Frist
Newt Gingrich
Rudy Giuliani
John McCain
Mike Pence
Condoleezza Rice
Rick Santorum
Tom Tancredo
Undecided/Other
Or Allen/Franks.....
If recent history has taught us anything it's that embedded Washingtonians (Senators, Congressmen, and Bureaucrats)do not viable presidential candidates make. So chuck that. While you're at it nix anyone from the northeast. We must be careful we don't nominate a "Washington insider" while the party of evil nominates a southern governor who's touted to possess "moderate" credentials. Of course, that calculus goes out the window if they nominate Senator Cankles in which case we can field anyone and beat her soundly. She will not get the nomination. We have to anticipate a governor and we must counter with a southern governor - Haley Barbour
George Allen for POTUS with whoever can best strengthen the ticket as his running mate.
That Flake from Arizona
no not John McCain........Jeff Flake
would also consider Tancredo, Paul
Something tells me George Allen wouldn't have near the showing in other polls. And I just have a hard time getting behind any member of the U.S. Senate. I hope Condoleeza Rice reconsiders.
As a Senator, John Kerry had a lot of support, too, but he still lost.
......................................................
What logical reason would you have to compare Kerry and Brownback? Rice is on the list and she has never held public office. Where is the logic in that? Brownback should have been on the list. He is enormously popular with red state conservatives. Without the base...dems have the upper hand.
I just read where Dick Cheney may have to resign if that old lawyer dies and is charged with involuntary manslaughter. (moonbats cheering for the old guy to die)
I hope what you say happens.
I'm really interested since you started the thread, who is YOUR pick?
So you think it's a good idea to take two people, change their positions, and then you have a good candidate?
Gee, Bill Richardson would be a good candidate if he switched parties and embraced conservatism. Why not George Stephanopalous, he's young and attractive, strong policy background, good name ID from his time on TV, sure he'd need to change a few positions, but hey, people change their minds. Christie Todd Whitman would be an excellent candidate, a female former governor of a blue state, all she'd need is to change all her positions and she'd be great!
Condi/Allen '08.
Virginia will be closer because of the number of Donks up north. Warner was running ahead of Allen in Senatorial dry runs before he decided to challenge Hillary (smart move for him, btw., I think he can win the Dem. nomination...).
Nice pic of Condi having a bad hair day two days ago. Not the woman the Persian Fuhrer wants to see in charge of thermonuclear weapons....
Thaawaackkkkkkk!!!!!!!
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Other:
JC Watts. Ok, can't happen, but I like him.
(Don't count this one, I already voted) :)
I'll have to go with Tancredo
Mike Pence
Rudy Giuliani, Prez; John Kasich, Veep. Alternate Veep: Condi Rice.
Condi in second place.
SEE what I mean?
Oh, and I know you voted for McCain just to cause trouble...lol.
As soon as he's done overturning Roe v. Wade, Antonin Scalia.
Before, I never thought he should resign based on pure political calculation.
No mention of Brownback?
