Out of that list....I'd take Rice.

My reasoning...however flawed...is Rice would make the DemMarxistSocialistLyingLeftistLibs...the most crazy.

Rice is very smart...she's obviously a woman, and obviously black.

Last but not least..I think it a positive..that she HASN'T ever run for office. That could be used to her advantage....

BWDIK!!??

On the list are (broken down by position):

4 Senators (scratch all those since senators don't become Presidents)

2 Members of the House (1 Former Speaker)

1 Secretary of State

1 Former Mayor

My money is on someone in red (Pence, Tancredo, Gingrich).

There was another thread where a whole bunch of "FReepers" were putting forth McCain for POTUS.

I blasted 'em all and NONE responded. I think most are plants/trolls, just here to disrupt.

Now if I could pick somebody off your list...I'd take Tom Coburn. As he would more than likely tick most of the good ol' boy's off in D.C.....which IMO...would be a good thing.

As the saying goes...."If you are taking flak, you are probably over the target"....

Best FRegards Jim,

"John McCain ... will pull a strong female vote I think."

Couldn't argue with that. McCain has a very friendly disposition and a kind looking face. That attracts female voters, especially.

With Undecided/Other in 3rd place in both Coomposite and Member, maybe you ought to have a write-in space.

Maybe drop the lowest two each time this poll is resubmitted.

Or better yet, drop the two least likely to run.

Mike Pence

George Allen

Tim Pawlenty (he still might run)

I could live with Condy on the ticket, especially if she clarifies her stance on the 2nd Amendment (the amendment that guarantees all the others). I DO NOT want to see Rudy Giuliani (see my various posts on other threads why) as that would REALLY bring the GOP further to the left. The only way I could support McCain is if it came down between him and Rudy or him and Romney.

Sam Brownback
...........................................

I wonder why his name was left off? He's the best candidate far and away...

From that site:

# Allen AGREES with the following statements:

#Grant U.S. citizenship to children born in the US only if their parents immigrated legally.
# Increase the immigration quota for computer scientists and other information technology workers.
# Establish English as the official national language.v

Opposes
Immigration helps our economy-encourage it

From another site he gets a 'C' for illegal immigration

http://grades.betterimmigration.com/testgrades.php3?District=VA&VIPID=899

Michael Pence gets a 'b'.
http://grades.betterimmigration.com/testgrades.php3?District=IN&VIPID=952

Tom's an 'A' of coarse. I like Pence on this issue and his general demeanor towards the budget. Though for winning...I think it's Allen/Pence.
