Allen would be fine....IF he can get his act together. That maybe a big IF.
Months ago, I saw him on one of the Sunday news shows. He was totally unimpressive. Maybe he has improved in the intervening months, BUT NO.
Allen was on Fox last Sunday. Anyone else see him get his clocked cleaned by the second rate back-bencher from Rhode Island?
So, for now, it's that evil, liberal, no-good Rudy.

So you want that character as our candidate? He scares me.

I could support him. He knew what to do after Katrina when the dems did not have a clue.

Allen?! From an issues web site: "Opposes absolute right to gun ownership." "Immigration helps our economy."
Not sure some of you would want him.

McCain is all talk and NO action. His "Mostly" Conservative credential are just because he makes noises about spending. When push comes to shove McCain gets all the wrong things done CFR, Terrorist Protection Act etc. Before any serious conservative can consider McCain he is going to have to actually DO something not just talk about it.
I am not a McCain supporter, just pointing out that there is less cause to be wary of him (issue wise, personal character is another matter) than there is for Condi. As for his conservative credentials, I was referring to the ratings of various groups on his voting record. His voting record has been historically conservative, with a shift to the left in recent years. Still, overall, he has one of the mostly conservative records of any Republican in the U.S. Senate.

Why all the Condi support?
See post 79.
The issues that worry you about her are probably ones that shouldn't be the concern of the federal executive, anyway.

"Why all the Condi support?"Somehow the thought is as a black and woman, she'd coopt traditional Dem constituencies and the mushy-middle.
Nevermind she's pro-abortion, a globalist, and has been soft as a SoS.
Plus some are enchanted by Dubya referring to her as "44."

I feel sorry for you if you can not understand the people from the south. It is not that hard. Off topic! Did any of you see that medical show last night about the lady who had a stroke and when she came to, she was speaking like she was from England. Very odd. I think it was called foreign speech syndrome.
I am from a small town in MS and now live in AL.
