Let the record show that it took the MSM less than a day to float the possibility that Dick Cheney intentionally shot Harry Whittington.
And who better to surmise that the Vice-President might have been trying to bump off his buddy than Ron Reagan, that primetime speaker at the Kerry convention who moonlights as an MSNBC "political analyst"?
Reagan appeared on tonight's Hardball with Chris Matthews, and in decrying the fact that the Secret Service apparently denied local law enforcement immediate access to Cheney, said the following:
"Law enforcement is entitled to investigate this case, to find out what happened, to find out if he had anything against Mr. Whittington, and to find out - again I don't mean to suggest anything - to find out if anyone had been drinking . . ."
Matthews, seemingly shocked but unable to contain a wide smile, broke in:
"You just did [suggest something]. Are you crazy? You just threw that out there. There's no reason to believe this is anything but an accident and you know it."
After suggesting it might have been anything but an accident, Reagan contradicted himself while trying to change the subject:
"I'm not suggesting it wasn't an accident but I'm saying one of the first questions the police would ask anybody is if there had been any drinking going on."
Matthews' other guest, notorious Bush antagonist Patrick Buchanan, was only too happy to pour inflammable liquid on the fire:
"Why didn't Cheney invite the sheriff in so the sheriff could find out what happened?"
So there it is. Approximately 13 hours after the story broke on national news, a paid MSM analyst has suggested that the Vice-President of the United States might have intentionally shot an innocent man.
The sheriff was called within one hour and met Cheney the next morning at 8 a.m. CST because CHENEY WETN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH WHITTINGTON.
LOL, Howlin!
And what a perfect tagline, as always. LOL! Call! Right now! And get the ten-step voice mail tree... oh wait... I'm speaking as a member of the small local media, who actually has to do their own work from time to time, LOL!
Shows like Bill Buckley's Firing Line are long gone, unfortunately.
There was absolutely nothing tongue-in-cheek about Buchanan's statement.
Don't you love it? I stole it from one of the posters at The Corner over on NRO.
Whatever else he's done, included in George Bush's legacy will be exposing the Democrats AND the media for the traitorous fools that they are. They'll never ever be the same.
Hmmmmmmmm...I didn't know that...
Chrissy is such a fraud on so many counts...and last week, he had on Torie Clark was just about as rude as a host could be to her....and I SWORE I wouldn't watch him anymore...
BUT, Chris' show is like a train wreck, you don't WANT to look, but human nature,....just takes over...sigh
No but Hillary Clinton had something against Vince Foster.
Ron "Dracula" Reagan. Man, with all of the money that this little sissy has, why doesn't he get those teeth fixed?
...just trying to make Ronald Reagan's Poofda son feel at home on this thread...
Anything that flaming bag of dog excrement says is unimportant...the only thing that was important was...did he feel FABULOUS while on TV?!
Did he spit on her, like he did to Michelle Malkin?
Ron Reagan, CSI Corpus Christi. More like "Ron Reagan, CSI Fire Island!". |
This is just laughable. Are there any people out there who take Ron Reagan seriously?
Libel, slander, defamation of character. Did I miss anything? Oh yeah, Ron Reagan is an embarassment to his parents.
I have nothing against Cheney, and too much booze (on his part) is a distinct longshot, but I wouldn't rule out lack of focus due to his medications. I have gotta admit, I was surprised to see that someone with as serious a heart condition as he has would be out in the woods with any kind of gun, let alone a shotgun. Of course if it was John Kerry in a hunting accident or a jet skiing accident, more likely, Ron Reagan would be all over anyone trying to suggest anything untoward about Kerry.

Sounds like ballerina girl's tutu is wrapped too tight.
This program is to responsible talk shows what the Democratic Underground is to responsible Internet websites.
It's fantasy entertainment for extreme left wingers. This is how they get their jollies.
