Hey everyone, taking a break from shoveling snow and thought to let everyone compete for the best picture of this years February's snow fall in the Mid AtlanticNortheast areas. All those who attended CPAC and can't get out of D.C., lets hear your "Snow Stories".
So far, the best, AND ONLY, pictures are the ones we posted.
Officially on our front porch in Olney, MD., about 15 miles due north from Walter Reed, is 9 1/2" of moderately wet snow. Not to far from here, towards Baltimore, Columbia, MD. got 21". I hear on Fox News that N.Y.C. also has 22"+ and its still falling for their 2nd deepest snow fall.
Below: Picture of Saturday's Olney, MD. FReep Includes Lurker Joan, Iraqikurd Lurker Bill. Report to follow whenever I finish shoveling snow and enjoying the fire place when resting.
Below: Signs from Olney's FReep drying off.
Below: Flag from Trooprally's front porch.
Below: Picture of [Mr] T's jeep with wind blown overhang.
So enjoy the snow, take care shoveling the snow, and best of luck to all those CPAC attendees stuck in D.C. and trying to get out.

I'm in metrowest Boston. Around 10:30am we had maybe six inches, and then it dropped off almost completely. The main roads were pretty clear, and it seemed like we have escaped. I went out to run a few errands, but even the Mall is closed today.
By noon, it has kicked up again. Heavy snow. Driving became treacherous. Visibiity is so bad I can barely make out the street corner about 100 yards away.

Cape Cod checkin' in. About 9-10", some wind but nothing excessive yet. Temp is about 31 degrees and the snow seems to be mixing with a bit of sleet.

Richmond, Virginia...the forecast went from no accumulation on Thursday, to 5-8" on Friday, and gradually decreased throughout the day yesterday. We ended up with only about two inches of heavy, wet, sticky snow out here in the West End.
Stay safe further north from here, this looks to be a monster.

Back in 92 or 93, when we lived in the Twin Cities, we got 35 inches of very heavy snow on Holloween Thursday evening. Friday morning, I fired up the snowblower and had the driveway done in about an hour.
Then I realized, there was still 35 inches of snow in the street and out on the highway. We had two new Yamaha snowmobiles and wife and I had the best fun these machines could provide that day. Our faithful Golden Retriever, Prior Lake Jake, really loved it, too.

Beautiful winter wonderland down here in Calvert County...we have about 10", and all the tree limbs (and everything else) are covered. Gonna have to fire up the chainsaw later on this week...one of our Bradford pears split in half.
