Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..
Listen live C-Span radio if not near a TV

What time does this thing start?
and is it on Cspan3?
Thanks for the ping....
It's on now, C-span1
Feingold asking why witness won't be sworn.
Specter says the AG's have appeared for many years before committee and there might be a time to warrant swearing in.
Feingold: Certain statements made under oath at his confirmation so he should be sworn in.
Leahy: AG was sworn in under another occasion; when he and Meuller appeared before this committee.
It's on..they're fighting about swearing him in. C-Span 1
Rats trying to run the committee before any questions start.
penalties for lying TO Congress but none for Congress lying TO us.
Span 1 now. The Dems are trying to force Specter to swear in AG, unbelievable!
Leahy: I remember Republicans insisting that AG Reno be sworn in for occasions other than her confirmation.
What's the big deal on swearing in? Is it just a power struggle?
And this is the ground where the dems have staked out their first fight.
Specter needs to stand his ground here.
Feingold and Leahy want Gonzales sworn in, testimony under oath, that is. "Swear or not" will be a short battle. I'm sure Gonzales cares not, either way.
Someone should swear in Feingold ...

They want to set him up for a court challenge
Nah, just a turf war now on swearing or not swearing in the witness........
It's typical of the Dimrats. Arlen does not sound like he's going to cave.
Sandy...whomever....gave a very good defense of the President ....stating this is all about Congress trying to assert its power over the Executive branch.....
