Posted on 02/06/2006 6:08:53 AM PST by ken5050
Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

Dang! I keep missing the charts, my chair is turned around from the TV. Maybe I ought to get a big mirror for these threads, LOL!
Durbin doesn't know the difference between a US military run prison and a gulag. Another sorry excuse for an American senator.

I've got to say. It's petty but true.
In introducing his new Question, Durbin says he's given great thought to a line of rhetoric put forth by the AJ because the admin has been using it too.
Does anyone here believe Durbin has contemplated any argument by the admin or AG deeply? His aides and outside legal help, maybe, Durbin? Engaged in Intellectually deep thought on a legal matter? Get real.

Durbin: If it's exclusive, why didn't you take advantage of the fact that you had strong bipartisan support of the Patriot Act. Why didn't you come to this congress and say there were things we needed to change?
Gonzales: The primary criminal code in FISA, Section 109 , page 179, provides that a person is guilty of an offense if they...I can't get it - speaking too fast.

Durbin looks like a crazy liberal who has a mental disorder.
Maybe some of these guys are in fact nut cases.

HERE IS THE ANSWER GONZALES SHOULD GIVE TO DURBIN'S LAST QUESTION:
"Because we couldn't come to you all, Senator, because we knew you'd LEAK IT."

Another sorry excuse for an American senator. This from the guy who belongs to the same party that calls Bush "Hitler", calls Gitmo "the modern day Auschwitz" and the American forces on the front lines of the WOT "terrorists".

I love how Durbin wants to say that there isn't a single reference to electronic surveillence. Oh, but evidently the constitution has a specific reference to the right to an abortion.
Disingenuous argument.

Nothing to worry about here. Gonzales is unwaverable. He handled Feingold with style and grace. He really kicked his ass, if you ask me. It would be so refreshing to hear that in the MSM tonight. But I know better, it will never come out the way we see it . . . . the MSM views it through Dim eyes.
