And the name-calling escalated from there.
Sheehan is just angry at her dead son for being a grown-up who supported the war, Michael Modes said. Now she's just another celebrity intoxicated by her reflection in the TV mirror. He doubts that, if she could, Sheehan would trade her fame in to have her son back alive, Leonard Giaccone accused.
And several among the 200 or more e-mailers and callers commenting on Wednesday's column charged that Sheehan had no right to mourn her son so publicly since she was a "bad mother" whose ex-husband raised her son more than she did.
To Howard York of Sequim, being a non-custodial mom exposes Sheehan as "a fraud so far as the bleeding is concerned and (she) is using the loss only for political leverage."

Re: "stuck on stupid". Just look how thrilled Jesse Jackson is to have this person grabbing him from behind. Doesn't he look happy. Of course, come to think of it, he never looks happy. A happy demeanor isn't too useful when extorting people.
How can we hurry that process along?

I'm doing okay. I've been having lots of doctor appointments recently so haven't been hanging around quite as much. How are things going with you? Hope great!
I also bought a new computer (which I'm loving) and had to have files transferred from the old one to the new one. Since the old computer's cdrom was broken and there was a diskette stuck in Drive A, I had to have the local computer whiz do the transferring. Of course, living in small town America, he didn't get in too much of a hurry so I was computerless for quite awhile.
Did you see where Ayers went poof? Hope he gets resurrected like I did cos I miss him!
As far as the Sheehan thing, that particular story had been posted quite abit here on FR by different people so I'm not surprised your remembered it. I've tried to debunk it whenever I came across it in the interest of accuracy. It's not like it's so farfetched it couldn't be true since she's such a *itch.
I haven't even seen Ayers around here that much lately. When I see him I will give him a nudge. :)
BTW I am going to be going on vacation in a few weeks. Do you want me to lock up before I go? I will not be getting on much while I am gone.

That's going too far. Cindy Sheehan deserves condemnation for her actions and has contracted elephantitis of the ego, but even that doesn't warrant such an accusation.

I'm calm, and I apologize if I came across differently.
I had never heard that claim made before, so I checked it out. Took me all of 10 seconds to learn it was untrue.
It reminds me of the lies the other side tell about the President - the lefties accept them without any critical thinking. We should be better than that.
Casey's dad and stepmom made an appearance way back when Cindy first was getting traction. (Can't remember which TV show, anyone?) They were very nice people who claimed Casey was very proud of his service, and was on his second tour when he was cut down. Both sported flag pins and were definately NOT libs. I feel so sorry for them, they truly loved and miss their son.

Casey has no step-mom. His father and mother were married for his entire life, and in fact are still married, though a divorce is in process now.
please, claims like this discredit all the REAL criticism of Cindy Sheehan.
I sigh because it's dispiriting to see people here repeat lies that were already disproved earlier in the thread. It does us no service to be either dishonest or gullible. The truth is on our side - we don't need lies and malicious gossip.
Yeah, go ahead and lock up even though I don't expect much in the way of any trouble.
It's been so long since there were any fun and games happening to us, I've almost forgotten some of the details. If I remember correctly, if you've got us all safe and cozy by locking up when you leave there won't be any forced visits to the RR. No PW though, just shut down delegate control.
