no doubt. they did it at the end of the first half as well.
He also had a funny commercial on local Pittsburgh TV. He hawks the product, then another guy comes out and Ben asks, How'd I do? The guy says, It was OK, but don't quit yer day job.
I'm looking forward to seeing video of the Steelers' homecoming, on the news tonite.
Isn't that a CLASSIC!?
last night was the first time in my life i've ever cheered against the steelers in my life. of course it was the first time they played the seahawks in the superbowl as well. in the eighties i got to meet some of the seahawk players while stationed at ft. lewis. it was joe nash, kenny eaisely and dave krieg. i've had a soft spot for the team ever since.
NOT! It goes through Charlotte, NC.
Well, I'll dispute the labeling of our guys as "stupid, thank you :-), but the move itself? yeah, I'd give you that action was stupid except as you say, it was mystfying and I'm still scratching my head on that one.
I don't even think stupid adequately defines what the hell that was all about. I still haven't heard an explanation that makes sense where I could label it a dumb move, but understand where the heads were. Just as I still, for the life of me, don't understand why the Steelers called a timeout and saved a few seconds for the hawks.
That was the most, and I love the word cause it fits, mystifying series of events by both teams I think I've ever witnessed.
For the Steelers, it didn't hurt them, so their move while I don't understand it can be brushed aside. The Hawks can't be brushed aside cause it did hurt them.
Regardless, that end of the first half is probably going to be a puzzle for the ages. Makes no sense, not even in retrospect.
Don't forget the Holmgren "Concession Touchdown" against Denver.
:-)
I gave my feelings about the game a few posts back, and conceded the win to the Steelers though minus a TD. Some people won't grant the win, I have.
However, I am not sympathetic to the cracks of "sore loserman-itis" being made in the thread at all by some Steelers fans. Not coming from fans who's team had a player state the NFL conspired to give the Colts the win. Our players have said nothing of the kind about this game that I'm aware of, no matter what fans may or may not scream.
It just strikes me as...interesting...to hear SOME steelers fans mock Seattle fans for claiming a rigged game, when their own player did the same in an earlier playoff game.
I found it ridiculous when that statement was made at the time, I would find it ridiculous if a Seattle player made the same today. Fans can say whatever they want, they don't represent the teams officially, but there is no moral high ground here between Seahawk and Steeler fans. The attitudes are markedly similiar.
FOTFLOL!
You forgot the one about Karl Rove manufacturing a referee mood chamber so Swann and Santorum take Pa. in '06.........
Maineboy's post however is NOT available, though I can freepmail it to you if you like. In reading it, you can see I was reflecting his language to a small degree, to make a point about his language.

Maybe there is a different one that was removed or that you intended to respond to that I didn't see. That really wasn't my point though, as I was referring to your two posts that said name calling and vulgar language is a sure sign you are losing, and yet you had previously done just that. Doesn't matter, your team won. I sincerely hope you enjoy the parade.
maineman's posts have been consistently nasty through the whole time fwiw. Perhaps you weren't here for the trash talking night but I sure was and I have the deleted posts to prove it too.
But regardless of that, I now say that Vince Young has a higher long term NFL future then Reggie Bush. Young also has the versatility to play multiple positions.
The amount of spoilsported-ness displayed through this whole game is disgusting. Petronski if I was you, I'd just let these guys consume themselves with their own hate and leave.
4000 posts! This game was fixed from the git go...cant believe all you fools watched!
Oh come on. How many Freeper's are actully crying about the loss and claiming that the refs stole it? Three or four, a half dozen?
