No it won't. The Bushbots will still love him. The Bush haters will still hate him. There will be more clamor about how the country will collapse without a guest worker program to do the cleanup that Americans refuse to due after the terrorist attack (Katrina sound familiar?). We'll all tune in to see American Idol when the terrorist soundbite fades out. And in November we'll all re-elect Republicans despite all this grumbling.

I do agree, .......however today's victory in confirmation of Sam ALito does re-iterate the fact that overall President Bush has been good for us as a country!!! I for one pray for our border security, but at the same time, fully SUPPORT OUR PRESIDENT and the REpublican party. I haven't always felt this way .......
It may be his biggest failures, but look at his successes - sometimes even important issues need to take a back seat to even more critical issues. With Iran getting ever more strident and recalcitrant towards world pressure, look for your issues to remain on the back burner even longer, and rightly so. Let's face it, the problem has been around through a few presidents, and none had as much on their plate as Bush. The fact that the real bad guys haven't managed to hit us because of the borders is an indication that there is more going on than meets the eye as to what is being done to protect us - it just hasn't been leaked . . . yet.
I believe his biggest failure is adding on 3 trillion to the national debt. You think your richer because your home has appreciated and now you pay an extra 50% property tax.
Bush has lost his mind! Thanks for the $300 dollar tax break. All tax breaks were erased by inflation.

No it wouldn't. Although it's nearly 5 years since 9-11, the Bushbots will still blame Clinton.
I think the reason no President has ever blocked the border before was that Mexico would come unglued economically and could lose all control to the drug lords and we'd get next door terrorists.
IMO though, we have to have a border barrier with this war.
I think the President gets that, but it is difficult to pull off without destabilizing Mexico.
If that happens, President Bush SHOULD be impeached.
