Hillary Clinton: U.S. 'Impatient' for Woman Prez

Americans are growing 'impatient" as they wait for a woman to be elected president, 2008 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said Saturday night.

"People are saying,' Well, at least we're ready,'" Clinton told interviewer Jane Pauley, as the two held a public chat for charity in San Francisco.

"There's a feeling that it's time," she added.

Then, in quotes picked up the New York Sun, the former first lady said she detected "a certain impatience" to see a female president following the election of women to similar roles in other countries.

Despite Mrs. Clinton's claims, a Gallup poll found last week that 51 percent of Americans had already made up their minds not to vote for her.

The top Democrat offered the comments after Pauley noted that President Bush had recently said she'd make a "formidable" candidate.

My extremely lib brother asked me 'are you saying you wouldn't vote for H just to see a woman in the WH?' Scares me that there might be women out there who would do that.
Well, there are women who voted for Bill Clinton because they thought he was cute (never could see that one). There are women who voted the Arizona governor Napolitano into office just because she is pro-choice and her opponent wasn't. Makes no sense to me either.

What in blue blazes is Mrs. Clinton talking about? There is no groundswell demanding a female prexy.

The only folks I can think of who would agree with what she told Jane Pauley are: NOW, NARAL, etc. and every miserable, angry chick in the country under 30. They would enjoy seeing a megalomaniac like Senator Clinton get the gig. Why? Because it's her turn, of course.

"...2008 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said Saturday night."

So she's officially running now? Makes me wonder about her 2006 Senate run...

Everything she is saying makes absolutely no sense.

Just a reminder....Hillary is not extraordinary by any means.

The only reason we even know of Mrs. Clinton is because of Mr. Clinton.

And if Bubba hadn't had so many escapades, we would have heard much less about the "vast right wing conspiracy"....which was all we heard from Hillary.....

Until "The Blue Dress" appeared.

No one can ever convince me that Hillary did not know all about Monica.

There are plenty. I just hope there aren't enough.

You bet! The Iron lady... squishing unions, and vanquishing socialists! If there only were such a candidate.

This will be her entire platform - IT'S TIME FOR A WOMAN - take that to the bank.

And any direct question about what she stands for, or any mention of any of her scandals will be met with "Why do you not want a woman to be President".

That sense of impatience might be due to a hormonal imbalance on Hillary's part.
Maybe it's time for her to change her patch.

"...the election of women to similar roles in other countries."

Given these countries she is alluding to are no bigger than some of our states, these women/men/leaders are not on the same level as our President. Being leader of a tinhorn country is one thing, being POTUS is quite another.

Saying people are impatient for Hillary is like saying the Jim Jones freakazoids were impatient for their kool aid.

It's pretty frightening to think people can vote for such shallow reasons.

I have to admit, Hillary scares the c--- out of me.

I'm not ready and my wife is even more adamant that it would be a mistake. If anyone knows women, it's her - she's proud and happy to be one and loves the fact that women and men are so different...
