From DiFi's office:
Senator Feinstein to Vote No on Cloture for the Nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court
Washington, DC U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today announced that she will vote no on cloture regarding the nomination of Judge Samuel A. Alito, Jr. to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.
Based on a very long and thoughtful analysis of the record and transcript, which I tried to indicate in my floor statement yesterday, Ive decided that I will vote no on cloture.

Phone calls mean virtually nothing at this point.
Senators won't be changing minds because of hundreds or even thousands of DU calls.

What's really amazing is Bill Nelson (D-FL) claiming that Alito is for big government (Nelson says this on his web site). The Democrat-Socialists want someone who will make laws from the bench, without voter approval or accountability. I also think they don't want another Catholic on the Supreme Court, for obvious reasons. Most likely the Democrats prefer an atheist, a good socialist.

Thanks for the comprehensive response.

Senators won't be changing minds because of hundreds or even thousands of DU calls. ...from the same person who keeps trying to disguise his vote not realizing the caller id is actually now present in Senate offices. :)

It's too bad the pro-abortion senator from CA's mother didn't have an abortion.

Based on a very long and thoughtful analysis of the calls I've received from my base of lunatics, pedophiles, Starbucks Marxists, and traitors, Ive decided that I will vote no on cloture.

Allen has a point. Remember this?
February 12, 2003 EDITORIAL ARCHIVES Message to Tom Daschle: Continue the Filibuster Until Estrada's Nomination is Withdrawn -- Or Resign A BUZZFLASH EDITORIAL Right now the Democrats in the senate are doing something unprecedented for them: showing that they have some spine. After much hand wringing, they have decided to temporarily filibuster the nomination of Miguel Estrada, Bush's extreme right wing affirmative action nominee to the federal appellate court. Everyone knows that Estrada is being groomed to join Tony "the Fixer" Scalia and Clarence "Mini-me" Thomas on the far right side of the Supreme Court Bench.
What ever became of tiny tommy?

And now a word from our REAL Sponsors of Free Speech
The Men and Women who serve,
and have served, our country
are the ones who make sure that
the Politicans and Judges are free to do their job.
We would not have a US Supreme Court
without the protection of the Military.
Politicans and Judges are safe
because of the Military who protect them.
TEST : Call your Senator or Congressman's office
AFTER 5 PM, or on the weekend.
IF you speak to an actual person, ask who's in charge today?
Now look up the phone number
of your local military base.
Call that number 24/7
and ask the live voice you get
to speak with the person in charge.
Send a Thank You while you enjoy your Freedom also.
You will stay right where you are on the thread.

The press/operatives are clearly egging them on .. that's the gist of several Rat commentaries/editorials I've read the last couple of days. In so many words: if not this fight, what fight? If not now, when?
They just have to APPEAR to be obstructing Bush, then they'll say they did all they could to appease their base and collect MO$$. I bet their rhetoric will be so inflammatory this weekend, we'll need asbestos earmuffs. .

Senators won't be changing minds because of hundreds or even thousands of DU calls. How can you be so positive? There certainly is a lot of flip-flopping going on this afternoon. We have an entire weekend ahead of us - could have some more flip-flops if the DUs melt down the phone lines like they are trying to do. Errhead Amerika is non-stop pushing the filibuster or "lose the nation as we know it". I have said over and over that Errhead Amerika is the propaganda arm of the RATs. They never oppose anything the RATs are pushing and in fact sponsor everything the RATs are pushing.
