Not sure, what, if anything, will happen today..Will there be a filabuster?..will anyone show up..might be work while checking out the beginning of the session, to get the lay of the land....

How many times do the stupid dims have to repeat history, before they realize this strategy is only losing them votes.
After election 2000, Gore refused to admit he lost, drug the election aftermath on until December.
They've been on a losing tear of seats ever since, governorships, senate, house, and still they won't see what a losing hand this is.

Leaky says he was trying to help Alito out when he asked about CAP.

I don't know about Prior, Lieberman, Salazar and Inouye although I suspect Inouye won't.I understand Salazar said today that he won't support a filibuster.

They have little left to lose... if they can beat 2 or 3 senators into line, it's up to Republicans to go nuclear.
Then it's a crap game.

Sen. Sessions is blasting the concept of foreign law as the basis for SC decisions. Excellent.

I say Bush should stop in the middle of his SOTU speech and swear in Alito. Great idea!

Scott Ritter? Didn't he say we were going to bomb Iran last May? This is her voice of reason? LOL LOL LOL

And I have some ocean-front property here in Kentucky, too.
You know, this whole business about criticizing Judge Alito for putting CAP on his resume because it would appeal to the guy doing the hiring just brings out the point that Senator Leahy -- and many others -- have absolutely NO IDEA how the real world works. Real people who have to apply for real jobs know that you need to customize your resume according to the intended audience. It's not some heinous crime. It's life.

"OMG....AL GORE has 41% in favor of him for POTUS in 2008???"
Think about it. He came very close to winning in 2000. He supported Deans short lived run to the WH in 2004. Dean is now chairman of the DNC and Gore might want to run in 2008.
And Dean owes Gore one.

"I say Bush should stop in the middle of his SOTU speech and swear in Alito."
I was thinking he should walk into the chamber with the judge and have him sworn in just before the POTOS takes the lectern.
My thinking is that there'd be a lot of booing and hissing from the immature crowd, and that would prevent me from doing it that way.
I do think he'll be sworn in within a few hours of the SOTU, though.
