Thanks..actually, a GOP primary might well be a good thing..give them all some practice in the poitical arena, and makes themn clearly state their positions...And it will give them publicity...I also suspect that whoever wins it won't have amy trouble raising $$$ for the campaign..heck..actuarially speaking, it's even money, or less, that Byrd won't make it to Novemner..not wishing him ill, especially after the vote today, but he looks awfull..the palsey is much more pronounced, and when oldsters fail, it happens very fast..I suspect that the voters of WV may decide that he's not up to it..

If Kerry calls for a filibuster, does a tree still fall in the forest?

:-) And no Lautenberg yet? If he were going to do a No vote commitment, why wait so long? Or has he seen that splitting the decision - no on the vote but no filibuster is already making Salazar look stupid.

LOL! For the Rats to filibuster at this point would be like the Japanese Emperor calling for his army to invade the U.S. mainland after Hiroshima & Nagasaki.

It's a good assumption since he has been open about wanting children of his own.
