Joe has gone lost his credibility. He is looking at retirement. Teddy called his remarks, "Excellent".

How anyone can vote FOR Ginsberg....but, then vote AGAINST Alito...because they don't trust their judicial philosophy...

is SOO laughable...that Lieberman should be ashamed that he even included in his speech that he DID vote for Souter and Ginsberg...

He also voted FOR Roberts...and I would LOVE to know one thing that is so radically different between Roberts and Alito.

He's losing to the republican in polls. But Schumer has to be pretty upset at that weasel millionare Corzine for forgetting who was in charge of senate races.

Now if Lautenberg would join him, that would be funny, because that would be TWO senators the democrats never got to vote for (in a primary) both going against their party.

Truer words were rarely spoken.

The SCOTUS has been their modus operandi for ALL the things they cannot possibly have the guts to try to pass through legislation...as well as the things they know they could get done if they tried.

Is Frank Lautenberg a definite no?

I don't know. A FReeper friend and I have come down on opposite sides...I say he's a no, she says he's a yes...but in my case there is no great analysis backing up the opinion, just a guess.

I like Joe, he's still a friend on other issues.

I had no higher respect for any Democrat Senator than Joe Lieberman. No, not even Zell Miller.

I thought Joe was the epitome of what I would and could look for in a moderate Democrat. Well spoken, calm, measured and a likeable person.

No more respect from me. I am truly saddened.

Senator Joe (CT)...say it ain't so!

Sad day in the U. S. Senate...the pressure groups on the loony left have harpooned him.

He must be retiring....I hope so.

Lieberman I think is a victim of extortion by MoveOn. I am sure they made threats to run negative ads against him on the war and endorse an opponent like Lowell Weicker if he didn't get back on the reservation.

he's saying that Alito will keep people from getting a fair shot at college?
How much money did his family need to spend to get him into college? How many people were denied a space in college for his drunken ass?

Now we havethe stripping of ten year old warrants again..
