The Tories need to pick up four seats in Atlantic Canada to be on track to 125 seats.

I somewhat disagree. What happens just outside and around Toronto with abuot 22 seats (905 area code) will tell us the seat total.

They picked up 2+. If they win the three seats too close to call it'll have to do. The Atlantic is a Liberal cesspool and 5+ seats would be calling it a decent achievement against insuperable odds.

I am definitely for Western Separation. I want to be removed from Ontario, Quebec and the Martimes PERIOD. They can't be trusted EVER. In B.C. there are still more Conservatives than not. We somehow have to end the immigration.

I can not get anything but static right now. That is the way it is sometimes.

In the election here in September Labour lost heavily in the provincial electorates (rural/small town ridings) and many middle class city suburbs in Auckland but hung on to the big city vote machine electorates. They turned out voters in the South Auckland suburbs en masse. Because NZ uses a proportional representation and final seats in Parliament is determined by total percentage of votes a party receives, Labour managed a comeback to become the largest party in Parliament despite heavy losses.

I know Canada uses First Past the Post, but if the Liberal supporters vote en masse across each riding, even if they won 70 ridings by only 51% of votes they can still pull in victory.

The three too close to call, I believe, are 2 LIB, 1 CPC right now. 11 is the best we can probably do.

If we swing the Ontario marginals in the rural areas (as expected), we should get a small minority. Suburban gains will move us into more solid ground.

Don't forget that much like the cheaters in the US, we also have 'voting irregularities' and they come from the same end of the political spectrum as they do down there.

See Landslide Annie in Edmonchuck for more proof.

I'm curious how many seats the Conservatives actually have won but have lost due to non-vigilance in scrutinizing polls.

As wonderful as it might be to see Martin and his homeboys get poleaxed by a 15 point electoral loss, the final result seems destined to be a squeaker. Remember: Merkel and the CDU barely ousted Schroeder and his ghastly cast of liberals in the German Elections last year. And Bush looked beaten early in the reelection returns of 2004.

There seems to be pattern. When corrupt and vile liberal regimes go down, they go fighting, spitting, and caterwauling like demons being shoved back into the blackest cracks of hell, gouging the rocks with their nails, their teeth, anything that will slow the the descent.

I did a MetaCrawler search (I don't Google), and a Newsweek article says that "in a decade or two" a majority of Dutch newborns will be Muslim, so I guess I was misinformed about the current percentage of Muslim babies in the Netherlands; maybe I read about the Rotterdam stat and got confused. Here's the Newsweek article: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/3540615/

If a majority of Dutch babies by, say, 2020, are Muslim, and heavy Muslim immigration continues for a few years after that, wouldn't the Netherlands have a Muslim majority by 2040?

BTW, a factor that would simultaneously reduce the number of non-Muslim Dutch while decreasing the necessity for larger numbers of Muslim immigrants is the Dutch euthanasia law that has started to be used in cases in which the old or sick person has not necessarily consented to be euthanized. Who knows which way euthanasia will cut in the demographic battle for the Netherlands, or if France will adopt a similar policy.

If the Conservatives come through, they'll win 129 instead of 140 seats. Its about the best they can do. Its not a majority but hey its better than nothing. We'll see if the rest of the results hold up as well as the final polls heading into this election.
