The Liberals won Avalon by over 10,000 votes out of 29,000 votes cast in 2004. 1,100 votes would be 3.7% of the 2004 votes - not a bad lead at all. The most recent poll had the Tory up by 2%.
Of course, where the results are coming from matters. There were a handful of pro-Tory election districts in 2004.
Not having live numbers sucks. Bad law. BAD law.

Doesn't do a whole lot of good for US conservatives to gripe to CND conservatives about Canada being liberal, you guys got tons of our wackos during the 60's and 70's. Which no doubt had an effect on the political climate here! Though, I will say we don't want 'em back ;-)
