The Liberals won Avalon by over 10,000 votes out of 29,000 votes cast in 2004. 1,100 votes would be 3.7% of the 2004 votes - not a bad lead at all. The most recent poll had the Tory up by 2%.

Of course, where the results are coming from matters. There were a handful of pro-Tory election districts in 2004.

Not having live numbers sucks. Bad law. BAD law.

When the data is fragmentary, its hard to connect the dots to make sense of larger trends. All that can be said is the polls haven't been wrong so far.
