If JimRob, etc. approve this is the Live Thread for the Canadian General Election, on January 23rd, 2005.
We have a while to go before the returns start coming in, but I thought the thread needed to get up and running.
I am not sure but Southern Interior is likely a NDP victory.
Conservative pickup in Winnipeg South. Densethe-Missinippi-Churchill River, Saskatchewan somehow flipped Liberal after it was called for the Tories. Strange.
Didnt Fat Boy violate Canadian Election law by spouting off like that?
Well, 'night all ... 1:30 AM here in the Maritimes. I gotta work in the AM ... unlike the liberals. : )
I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see the new PM's speech. Ah well.
Thanks for the banter ... and we did it!
I hope you're kidding
Ya...just teasing.
No way Camilla will let Charles prance around in Blackfoot Tribe Eagle headdress me thinks,....ya....not again : )
Michael Moore just made his six millionth wrong prediction.
Good luck on ya
Congrats Nof45!!!
Please don'r make him eat his words.......he is on a diet pal....those words are of his are way too greasy.
LOL, Time for another stunning documentary!
sigh... maybe next time, after everyone sees what harper is like we'll end up with that big majority, eh?
Some fool on a to-be-unnamed looney liberal board was actually saying that he saw nothing really WRONG with the corruption, because look at the goodies they(the social programs addicted) got out of it. What're you gonna do when people have that attitude towards dishonesty at high levels-as long as there's something in it for them, they'll let it go??!!
12.20am EST
Given the campaign, that was a reasonably graceful Martin concession speech. But the dismal ugly desperation of the last couple of months will go down as his real swan song. This is a man who set out to reach the top of the greasy pole at all odds, only to find he had no idea of what he wanted to do when he got there. And the price of winning the big prize was a fractured party whose lean mean efficiency dissipated day by day. Ruthlessness is all very well but inept ruthlessness has little to commend it.
It might not be pretty, but it got done.
Get your message out in government, open up the cooked Liberal books, and win a majority next time.
I look forward to seeing how PM Harper will rise to the challenges he'll face in the coming term.
Speaking of Harper, I want a speech!
only because he is a complete commie. nothing more to be said.
