He's BAAAAACK! Yup, Prince Alberta, newly relocated to the liberal mecca of San Francisco ensconsed in his new multi-million $$ condo, working in the venture capital field (all bad things when he was running for the WH) will today crawl out from under his rock to deliver himself of a major address about the "evils of executive power"

To sum up, according to Gore the only threat to America is Bush and Congress....as opposed to AQ, Iran, N. Korea.

BINGO!

He just said that the president and the 2 houses of Congress being in the same party....is the meaning of TYRANNY??? duh...we ELECTED them, AL!!!

Yes, I have heard this theory many times - the fact that both houses and the WH is in Republican control, the checks and balances are no longer in play and so therefore one of these houses have to come back to the RATs - Impeach. The LLL just keeps spouting this over and over in the attempt to say it often enough so the masses believe it (those without access to alternate media). They also like to point out the Republicans control the SCOTUS!! The only way I can understand such utter nonsense is that more members were appointed by Repubs than the RAT administrations. I have not check to even see if that is correct - but the leaning of the SCOTUS over the past 2-3 decades has most decidedly been to the LLL regardless of who appointed these bozos.

It is all deplorable! This lie in particular:

(From Gore's speech)
"At the same time, the Executive Branch has claimed a previously unrecognized authority to mistreat prisoners in its custody in ways that plainly constitute torture in a pattern that has now been documented in U.S. facilities located in several countries around the world.

Over 100 of these captives have reportedly died while being tortured by Executive Branch interrogators and many more have been broken and humiliated. In the notorious Abu Ghraib prison, investigators who documented the pattern of torture estimated that more than 90 percent of the victims were innocent of any charges.

Gore is stringing words together in a random fashion - he might as well be speaking an alien language - as far as comprehension can be accomplished.

It's the "let's relive Watergate and Vietnam" part what 12? What is it about Democrats that make them so completely unable to admit they have all ready lost the Foreign Affairs debate? Got slapped by the voters in 2002 and 2004 so NOW they are going to re-run the SAME debate for 2006? That goes beyond being stupid on stupid to being certifiably insane.

IMO, we're back to the Carter period when pundits were speculating the Presidency was too big for one man and should be divided between three.

The difference is motive.

Back then Carter had run the Country to the ground, with help of his Liberal friends. Instead of reviewing Carter's (in)competance and their policies, they thought the job had just become too expansive.

With Bush, they resent he's the Executive. It isn't a question of incompetance or failed ideology, rather that on certain key issues he's intractable while Senators are notoriously spineless and can be bent to liberal position far more easily.

Instead of advocating a three person Presidency, because half of the Senators want to be the sole Executive, they want to temporarily suspend the current President's powers for their own. If it's a Republican next, they'll keep the usurped power. If Liberal, they'll (probably) return the power. At least that's their thinking. But my guess is that once Congress had it, they wouldn't return it. No one willingly relinquishes power. Either the Liberals (and RINO's) in Congress desirous of being the Executive don't believe they'll really win any time soon despite rhetoric, or they remain delusional about their ability to reclaim what they take from Bush once becoming the Executive.

However, Bush isn't willingly relinquishing his constitutional authorities and I suspect the next President, either Dem, Rep or RINO will be appreciative those powers remain.

The longer I listen to this the more convinced I am that Gore is insane. Flipped his wig, gone round the bend, coming up crackers, one brick shy of a full load...

There is a reason Tipper's issue was mental health, if you ask me.
