Those involved should be charged and locked up.
Do these people have any sense of responsibility at all?

"Blood donation is not a right, it's a privilege. Everybody has to meet the right criteria," she said. Perhaps it would have driven the point home to the gays had she said "Blood TRANSFUSIONS are not a right, but a kindness, and not everybody deserves the kindness.

Oh, this is a GREAT p.r. move for gay people. This is the perfect way to win over public opinion!
To: Aussie Dasher
What is wrong with these people?? They just crossed the line from perversion to MURDER.
To: Aussie Dasher
Gays place more importance on the acknowledgment of their sexual status than the health and well being of the general public. They try to say that their being gay doesn't affect those around them. Obviously the "Gay attitude" does. In this case, it may result in the murder of an innocent bystander. If so, I hope the innocent bystander is gay them self. Being gay is a CHOICE!

Well, right there is just an example of the crux of the problem. You got all these folks including some politicians out there that are trying to preach a view that homosexuality is perfectly fine and natural and just another normal way to express their sexuality - and that runs all the way to examples like SSM becoming legalized in Canada. So if it is perfectly fine and natural, on what grounds shouldn't they be allowed to donate blood? Hmmmm... if the conclusion is faulty, try going back to the original premise.

I just don't understand these people. I am considered higher risk for Mad Cow Disease because I lived in Europe in the early 80's (and visited the UK in that time). I am not supposed to give blood, and I understand that. If I do have some sort of infectious disease, I certainly do not want to risk spreading it. Why do people have to put politics and stunts above the well being of others?

These people are worthless. All they care about is "me, me, me!"

Might as well question gravity.

Like firing a shotgun into a crowd. They should be tried for murder/attempted murder.

I for one think it's great. Gays should be encouraged to give blood, and to identify themselves proudly. Then, when a gay needs a transfusion, they'll have a ready supply of gay blood to give him.

The group's members lied about their sexual status on an admission form and only after donating blood told the SANBS that 65 per cent of them had engaged in high-risk sexual behaviour and were unsure of their HIV status, while at least one member had full-blown AIDS. In other words, the blood supply is wrecked. When people start dying because they can't get blood in a medical emergency, their families can direct all lawsuits to the GLA. They can work their 50-cent prison jobs their whole lives to pay it off. Bunch of scumbags.

A few years ago I was behind a car on the freeway...on the left rear bumper was the "Give blood - the gift of life" sticker....but on the right bumper was a gay rainbow decal.
Shudder...

1. host a national coming-out party at an appropriate place in south africa, preferably on an island.

No they don't. If they did they would not think that their imagined right to donate blood trumped the concern of the blood banks that recepients of donated blood not risk, AIDs and/ or hepatitis. These people are not only selfish they are to put it simply evil.
