This morning, the Senate Judiciary Cmte. convenes for a final session in the nomination hearings of Judge Samuel Alito. Outside witnesses who did not testify at yes- terday's hearings are given an opportunity to offer their opinions on the nominee. The Cmte. meets again to vote, either to approve or reject, on Tues., Jan. 17

So what things have we all learned from the Democrats if Judge Alito is confirmed;

1) He will personally strip search ten year old girls.

2) He will dress up like a hockey goalie and get between every abortion doctor and his patient.

3) He won't recuse himself because the people who will come before the court are also a human beings.

I can safely say if I never hear "stare decisis" again in my life, I won't be upset one bit.

Basically Tribe denied repeatedly he was there to speak against Alito, even while speaking against Alito. Specter called him on it and Tribe floundered.

IMO, Tribe doesn't want to make a potential enemy of a future Supreme Court Justice, but he's expected by the Liberals as their premier objector to tear Alito down.

In the end he tried to walk the line of ripping Alito, but denying that is exactly what he had done and looked foolish.

The story that Jack White told about introducting his parents to Judge Alito was sweet, and telling. It was to be the highlight of his parents' day. When they left, they were convinced that meeting them had been the highlight of the Judge's day.
