Tribe was instrumental in preparing Biden for the Bork hearings.
Yes, 5 minutes for each.
she's probably the only "constitutional scholar" that actually believes the constitution actually says "women can murder their unborn children"
:-)
It looks like they know they've lost the game against this nomination, so they intend to use the rest of their TV as an anti-Bush paid-for by CSPAN commercial.
However, it just shows you how clueless-and removed from reality-the denizens of the cloistered world of academe are.
Does this nitwit really think that claiming that Alito will be responsible for doing away with discriminatory racial preferences-or "racial justice," in his Orwellian parlance-and abortion on demand will convince Americans to OPPOSE Alito?
What alternate universe is this dweeb living in?
I would hope the cream of the left's crop, those with any level of intelligence, would understand that there is absolutely no reason to be against Judge Alito's nomination.
Well, just take a look at what Chuckie said yesterday.
SCHUMER:I do have a few other issues that I do want to talk to you about. But, first, there's just a general question on presidential power.
Let's just assume that it was found that the president's right to wiretap people, the way we're discussing it now in terms of the recent NSA revelations, was found constitutional.
Would there be a different standard if, say, the president -- does that necessarily allow the president to then go ahead and go into people's homes here in America, American citizens, without a warrant?
Does the one necessarily lead to the other?
ALITO: I would have to understand -- I would have to see the ground for holding the wiretapping or the electronic surveillance constitutional before seeing whether it would apply in the case of other searches and seizures.
SCHUMER: But let's assume it is constitutional.
Because IT IS CONSTITUTIONAL!?!?
Gesundheit... ;-)
Yes...Nolan said she didn't have enough facts...but, Leahy wanted her to go by what she has read in the press...as FACTS....
There goes any illusion that the Press and the dems aren't working hand in hand.
My goodness, have you ever heard a bigger blowhard in your life?
Yet they think we're the hayseeds.
Wrap it up Tribe.
Argh. Dropping by but only for a sec; cant watch it, cant post. grrrr
Specter slaps down Tribe again.
Ha! There goes Specter interrupting him again.
okay, why are they trying to impeach the president here?
This is supposed to be about Alito's qualifications for the SCOTUS.
Yes. Biden, Kennedy, Feinstein, the list goes on...
I had to remove "troubled". I want to actually be coherent enough to watch this today.
This is amazing.
The hearings are hereby declared officially OVER. Today's discussions will have nothing to do with SCOTUS. It will have everything to do with the POTUS.
