Day 4: Hearing Resumes
This morning, Senators will question Judge Alito during a third round. They will then go into a closed session, to review the FBI background investigation on the Supreme Court nominee. Could they do a filibuster now.
This is just remarkable.
Makes you want to gag, doesn't it?
Garth is very impressive...
look at this man... he is obviously "aged" as far as technology goes... yet he is going through great technical avenues to contribute to this hearing...
with passion and heart...
Alito is one HECK of a man... to have so many come forth on his behalf with such passion....
NONE of these Senators would have so many beautiful things said by so many TOP NOTCH PEOPLE!
I am blown away...
This is sooooo inpsirational...
we could all only PRAY that ONE QUARTER of the people in our lives could say ONE QUARTER of the content of such things about us upon our DEATH! Let alone THIS kind of turn out and support for a JOB PROMOTION!
Makes me want to be all I can be,....... so one day- someone may be able to see me in a positive way- affecting my world...
these men and women truly SERVE us with such GREAT integrity and intellect...
we are all dwarfed-- and these Senators are just DEMOLISHED.....
waht peons they are....
>>So far, the only quirky thing I've heard about Alito, is the fact he and Judge Garth would buy coffee and peanuts. Why not coffee and donuts? Or peanuts and Pepsi? Why coffee and peanuts together? What does it mean? I'm puzzled and concerned.
Speaking of Pepsi, I need a paper towel for my monitor.
;-)
I was thinking the same thing.
I noticed that, too.. they will show up for the anti-speakers...
Very troubled....I hope Kennedy will supoena the records from that store. If that coffee is still named after Alito, does he get royalties??? hmmmmmm......
He's a brilliant judge, just has a different approach than Roberts. I love what Roberts is doing as Chief Justice already. It may be harder for Anthony Kennedy to vote with the Dems the way that Roberts has been framing the questions with such precision.
LOL!
Let's send Alito some coffee!
LOL!
I'm in!
Tower? How about Wilbur Mills?
But his wife was just beaming.
I was thinking the same thing.
Let's be very accurate, he has no repectable relatives or friends.

AMEN, and well put.
Will he recuse himself or make an oath to us that he will recuse himself from cases involving that coffee company?
Much as I dislike him, I pray that Kennedy will not die on President Bush's watch. I don't wish to see or hear President Bush have to eulogize the b*st*rd.
LOL!
This just in
Government asks Court to dismiss Hamdan
04:04 PM | Lyle Denniston | Comments (0)
The Bush Administration on Thursday asked the Supreme Court to dismiss the case of Salim Ahmed Hamdan, a challenge to the "military commissions" that President Bush set up to try foreign nationals on war crimes charges. As expected, the motion urged the Court to dismiss the case for lack of jurisdiction, and to order it dismissed, relying upon the recently enacted Detainee Treatment Act of 2005.
thank you.
in other words, thank you.
If he won't answer that question, I'm going to appeal.
