Day 4: Hearing Resumes
This morning, Senators will question Judge Alito during a third round. They will then go into a closed session, to review the FBI background investigation on the Supreme Court nominee. Outside witnesses may be called to testify this afternoon, as well as the American Bar Association, to discuss its recommendations.

Yes they are.
Will we be hearing them today or tomorrow? (I'm trying to arrange my schedule so I can hear the moonbats).
I mean, are the Rats able to bring in people like NOW and NARAL to condemn Alito?
They can briing anyone they want.
I believe they'll bring in their moonbats to decry Alito but none will have the credence of the judges speaking for Alito.
Please call Belafonte - please!
"Are the Rats allowed to present THEIR witnesses?"
Yes.
When Spector began this session, he commented on previous committees where the majority would call on 18 witnesses, to the minority's 12 witnesses. He said he decided it would be fair to go 15 and 15.
Thanks for nothing Arlen.
How will the dims attack them? Because attack they will!
I don't know - the ABA guy is on now.
They can call up anyone they want. I say the loonier the better. It will reflect their looney, crazy, stupid positions out toward the American people watching all of this.
Please tell Tony I love him, SL. I just CAN'T miss these hearings and I can't multitask either.( sacrifices must be made, ya know? ) LOL!
Black guy testifying now regarding Vanguard and the ABA's take on Alito's initial non-recuscal of the case.
ABA guy says Alito was recused from several vanguard cases, including at least one in 1992. So this contradicts Kennedy's insistance that he violated his promise to the committee.
Yeah amazing. How many times were the Republicans "treated fairly" when they were in the minority?
Alito recused himself from over 100 cases in the past 15 years: 40 pages of recusals, approx. 30 cases per page.
This shows a man of high integrity.

Catching up on the thread...I've been laughing for about 7 minutes now.....thanks...
Unanimous high regard held for Alito with judges ABA interviewed. Everyone thought he had the highest integrity with regard to his recusals and that few that slipped through did not detract from that.
Alito's integrity is unquestioned.
It would be funny, if it weren't so sad.
John G.S. Flynn:
Counsel to the lead plaintiff in the Vanguard case; I guess they aren't done beating a dead horse.
Charles Gonzalez:
A Dem. hack, who's the son of the late unlamented congressman whose seat he took.
I suppose he's there in order lend some diversity to a panel of lily-white liberals.
Beth Nolan:
Dear friend of Denise Rich, i.e. wife of FBI Most Wanted fugitive-and recipient of a last-minute pardon-Mark Rich.
One of many Clinton administration officials to take the 5th in a criminal inquiry.
Kate Michelman:
Proud head of this nation's foremost advocacy organization in favor of abortion rights, i.e. the right to exterminate unborn children.
Don't forget the deranged Greenie that was scrubbed from the witness list at the last minute.
