Day 4: Hearing Resumes
This morning, Senators will question Judge Alito during a third round. They will then go into a closed session, to review the FBI background investigation on the Supreme Court nominee. Outside witnesses may be called to testify this afternoon, as well as the American Bar Association, to discuss its recommendations.

Oh, Schumer thinks that the States have no laws against odometer rollbacks!
After the way Kennedy pissed off Specter yesterday, ol' Arlen himself is ready to push the button on the "nucular" option. What a foolish, foolish move by Ted. He went ballistic over a phony issue and alienated Specter in the process.
Howlin, that is all they have left.
...be right back. Going out to check my odometer. This is second time it's been brought up.
Muted Schmuck schumer.... he does not know or care about the Truth!
And what is the deal with his red braclet. It that a sign of solidarity with moveon.hate?
Here we now are seeing the foundation of the Democrats: supreme federal laws.
Just as long as the hearings end today. You'll notice he needs a written answer from Alioto already. Delay, delay delay is the tactic.
So glad Kennedy's witch hunt ended this morning to save face.
I'm not watching I have Rush on..
I hope the sob's do decide to fillibuster. What better way to get everyone's attention in the whole country that the dems have gone over the hysterical edge?
We won't get that lucky.
there's always a murder accusation
I thought Fox wasn't showing it today...why would Brit do that?
Before Alito started talking on Tuesday, I predicted the one week delay in committee, and a floor vote on Jan 31 (vs. the presntly scehduled 1/20). Now I'm not so sure. It's a political calculation in the hands of the DEMs, delay that is. My read of the tea leaves is that they will not delay. That is, I've changed my prediction from earlier this week (howz that for covering the bases?) LOL.
Their BIG PLAY already went pfffft!
Kinda like the Didn't guard the Iraqi Munitions Dump the weekend before the election. Those rats are so predictable. And predictably losers.
Schumer says federalism doesn't make sense. He may or may not be right, but if they don't, it isn't the court's job to change the constitution to make sense, it is the people's job.
You could just as easily argue that some of the rules on qualifications to be in congress don't make sense anymore, but that wouldn't make it right to throw them out without an amendment.
"Does he have Parkinson's?"
DT's!
And they're bringing these:
Then, Chuckie goes to the media and says, "He couldn't answer any of my questions."
Chuckie did that with Roberts. IIRC.
Kennedy called him a liar. I think that Schumer did too
