Seems I missed some fireworks.
Did they really make Alito's wife cry?

You know what I find ironic in all this?
Alito - or any nominee, for that matter - cannot come out and say "I oppose abortion", because the liberals think the nominee would discriminate against them.
Yet if a nominee did come out and openly state they oppose abortion, they would suffer discrimination and be voted against based on that. It's such a double standard.

I missed it too. I missed the Kennedy blow-up, then I missed the tears. I forgot to program the Tivo too, so I am hosed.

"The more Judge Alito speaks the more I adore him."
The more I see of Sam Alito, the more I think he outshines John Roberts. Sam has been much more forthcoming with his responses. It's said he is the most experienced jurist to be nominated to the SCOTUS in 70 years. I think he should have been put in the Chief Justice position.

They really did make her cry. Well, actually, Kennedy, Schumer, etc., were uglier than yesterday and she held up well.
It was when Graham said kind words and apologized to Judge Alito for treatment by the Rats that she broke down. That's how it often works with women. We're fine when being attacked and cry when someone shows kindness and asks forgiveness for the attacks.

Either him, or-and this is my personal favorite-Jon Kyl.
Aside from Don Nickles I can't think of someone on the Republican side of the aisle more worthy of the nomination.

Was relly surprised that NBC's coverage of the hearing--including Mrs. Alito's tears--was pretty positive and CBS's Gloria Borger actually said the Dems may have gone too far--and she repeated it after Bob Schieffer had another lady on (forget her name) talking about the hearings. Was shocked at the fairly even-handed coverage by both networks.

Who knows, the swimmer has a tough time even talking these days, much less leading a herd of cats.

I saw Zell, if Alan had just a little more room I think he would have crawled "under" the broadcast chair to get out of Zell's way, he can be intimidating.

Your post tells me that even the liberal networks understand the Rats went too far and can't defend them. Outstanding.

Does anyone have any idea what time Sen. Lindsey Graham's comments will be aired during the current rebroadcast? It would be nice to have a schedule of the high points from today's hearing.
To: LucyJo
I've read it already....I actually saw it live on CNN....I thought Wolf Sidewinder did a decent job and Biden was even stumbling over his words towards the end of the interview....the rats know they overstepped today..

Don't forget all of the loons that have been going after everyone in Alito's family
Remember the treatment of his mother and how she can't even leave her home
