Day 3: Questioning Continues
This morning, Round 1 concludes with Senators on the Judiciary Cmte. who did not question nominee Alito yesterday. During Round 2, questioning is limited to 20 minutes for each of the eight- een senators. Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA) leads off, followed by the others, alternating by party in order of seniority.

It wasn't really directed at you, but just a comment in general. You were the last poster, so I hit on your post in order to post my comments. Sorry if you misconstrued that it was a comment to you. It wasn't, it was just a general comment.
I suspect once the media shows Mrs. Alito's reaction, they may just forego beating a dead horse. What's to be gained, really? We all know they have no intentions of voting for him and the fact that they weren't present for the entire hearing speaks volumes.
Yes, many Dem callers to CSPAN were disgusted as well.

Why can't the Senators just stay in the hearing room? Their staff can look up hit pieces while they listen to the nominee. Alito has to be on the spot constantly, answering hours of questions.
