Day 3: Questioning Continues

This morning, Round 1 concludes with Senators on the Judiciary Cmte. who did not question nominee Alito yesterday. During Round 2, questioning is limited to 20 minutes for each of the eight- een senators. Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA) leads off, followed by the others, alternating by party in order of seniority.

Judge Napolitano just gave Gibson a pretty good opinion of the RATs smearing of Alito, vis-a-vis the CAP magazine articles. He said it was ridiculous to try to associate Alito as a subscriber to a magazine to make him responsible for every word and phrase in it for all time. I think the RATs' goose is cooked, stick a fork in 'em.

hypocracy of the Libs saying a young girl doesn't have the time to go to a judge to bypass notifying her parent about an abortion, but the Bush administration is suppose to take the time when they think a telephone call between terrorist is taking place in the US. Pretty interesting observation I thought.

You are abolutely right and the headline would involve cruel and inhuman Republican treatment of a beleagured hero.

As it is, if its mentioned at all, it will be to say that she wept at he husband's poor performance. They may speculate whether Alito may withdraw before tomorrow's hearings.

Please don't say ALL of them will be permitted. DiFi and someone else asked for additional time and Specter's hand might have been tied as he allowed it with Roberts. I hope he isn't inviting too many others.
