Day 3: Questioning Continues
This morning, Round 1 concludes with Senators on the Judiciary Cmte. who did not question nominee Alito yesterday. During Round 2, questioning is limited to 20 minutes for each of the eight- een senators. Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA) leads off, followed by the others, alternating by party in order of seniority.
WEDS., 9:30AM ET, C-SPAN
That may but Specter can't let their review delay the hearings one iota.
Eeek
According to Senate Judiciary sources, Sen. Ted Kennedy this morning was informed that a number of media outlets -- including the New York Times, as well as both Democratic and Republican staff from the committee -- had reviewed a wealth of documents related to Concerned Alumni of Princeton and that there was no evidence that Supreme Court nominee Judge Samuel Alito played a major role personally or financially in the organization at any time. This information was passed to Kennedy after he raised the issue of possibly requesting a subpoena for all of CAPs documents before he entered the hearing room for the third day of confirmation hearings. "We told him we'd gone through it, and that seemed to be the end of it," says a committee staffer. So big surprise that despite knowing what he needs to know, Kennedy decided to simply create a few moments of entertaining political theater for the nightly news.LOL. That Kennedy - such a clown. A$$-clown, that is.
You just ruined the Beach Boys song forever for me -- thanks for nothing.
right
Diane is UP... time to listen to Hannity for awhile.
Bwahahahaha!
DiFi: "Obviously this is about Roe..."
Yeah, because we all know you have nothing else to talk about.
Here comes Diane Feinstein.
"Oh my. DiFi up."
aka - Idiot Alert!
DiFi is still worried that Roe will be overturned.....can't stop killing those babies...
Here comes DIFI!
Then we could say because the state of Pennsylvania determined that there was a big problem with kids drinking on college campuses, and JB's kid goes to Penn State, then his kid has a drinking problem?? Same kind of idiotic logic these boneheads are throwing around.
btw, VP is on with Hannity right now
Uhhmmm...errr..uhhh...What points was DeWine trying to make?
Never mind...I'm too tired to even ponder the answer.
Here comes DiFi..."trying one more time"...
To get Alito to say he WILL/WON'T overturn Roe.
DiFi asserts that Roe has "support from a majority of Americans." Oh, really? Did we vote?
Madame BigHair
No. It will be replayed several times on FNC this evening. Catch Brit tonight.
What I think is interesting that you could miss by not reading the thread is that a freeper reported that some time ago, Brit reported that Teddy Kennedy has worn a wire to these hearings in the past and taken constant questions from an aide.
It's not known whether Kennedy is wearing a wire today.
Good--Alito mentions people on BOTH sides of the issure. Dems seem to forget there is any other side but thers!
I don't remember anyone asking me.
