For some reason I do not understand Diamond seems to be unable to get broad coverage of this problem.
Virtually all of the info I've seen on this came from dog breeder news lists, etc.

Dog Deaths Surpass 100 Despite Toxic Pet Food Recall At least 100 dogs in the United States have been killed in recent weeks by toxic pet food despite a recall of the products, scientists said today. Some 19 brands of Diamond, Country Value and Professional dog foods have been recalled. But many pet owners are not aware of the recall, researchers at Cornell University said Friday.Dogs have refused to eat the food and, in some cases, their owners have enticed them with gravy and other lures without knowing they were killing the animals."Entire kennels have been wiped out, and because of...

Diamond brand dog food recalled after toxin detected in 23 states. Contaminated dog food which was sold in 23 states killed nearly two dozen dogs and sickened 18 more, the Food and Drug Administration said Friday. The deaths and illnesses sparked an FDA investigation into the pet food made by the Diamond Pet Food Company at its Gaston, S.C., manufacturing plant. Stores in 23 states have been notified to pull Diamond Pet Food products off their shelves. The contaminant, aflatoxin, grows on corn put in the products. The food is sold under the brand names Diamond, Country Value, and Professional. The recalled batches have date codes of March-07 through June-07 and were made at the company's plant in Gaston, South Carolina. Products from other facilities...
I know a there was a thread on this over the weekend, but only because I did a search. It was posted at night. I posted it again, because it might save a life.
Nothin' but Ol' Roy for my Maxxy boy
I agree, HOTD.
A vet was interviewed about it on one of our local stations this morning. He commended Diamond for the measures they have taken, saying the problem comes from molded corn used in the food. Says Diamond is a reputable company and will do the right thing.
I pray for all of the ones who have suffered because their pets have died, and for the ones who are suffering now.
Been feedin' this stuff to my dog for a couple of years...She doesn't have any of the symptoms...I switched brands yesterday...
The recall did include cat food.
Let's feed it to the terrorist's locked up in GITMO.
Who cares?
Who cares about cats...? I have one that I want to off now because my mother has a pure marble bengal in her shelter that I desire. She will not give it to me if I put down the oldster... So lets hit Ebay and see if I can get me some Diamond cat chow.
