And it's a good strategy. Even though I know he's BS-ing, Alito's running away from Bork is starting to tee me off.

...what would you rather he say, "Why yes I agree with everything Bork said and I would be just like him?"

Yeah right, that would furnish the evening news their required sound bites. Jeez!

Kohl doesn't understand anything...period.

He makes Joe Biden look like a Fulbright scholar.

I just couldn't resist. I guess my cable was at fault. Every channel showing the hearings froze up.

As evident by the long pauses and "very good" after Alitos answers

Kohl: "Very Good"
Translation: "Well don't I feel like an idiot after that answer."

all this talk about the 10 year old makes me recall an episode of cops where the police found crack cocaine in a baby's diaper and a gun in the baby's carriage some people dont have any morals and good cops can spot those scumbags

@@@@@

When my son was born in England, I had to take him to the US Embassy in London to get his passport and Certificate of American born abroad. It was possible to do it in one long day, so I took him in a small carry cot. He was just 8 weeks old. We had to enter and leave the Embassy 3 times that day, and the Marine on guard searched me, him and the cot each time. I was annoyed that such overkill was being exercised. (I didn't think I looked like a terrorist!!LOL!)

But - it was during the heyday of the IRA - and now know that explosives could have been hidden in the mattress, etc ---

Perhaps, my Irish features were being profiled? Or the fact that the carrycot was handmade, and I was dressed in boating clothes? Ie, not Grosvenor Square/Harrod's fashion clothes.

I think he inherited the store chain. You're right. He's dumber than a doornail. After Alito answered his question about 'traditional values' he stared numbly for about five seconds, then said, "very good."

Kohl is getting creamed. No follow up questions whatsoever. It's like Kohl just not know how to react. Kohl justs listens to the answers and says "very good". Then he asks the next question. Kohl cannot challenge him one single bit on any issue.

At least Kohl is letting Alito answer which is better than Specter did. I haven't noticed him interrupting yet.

If Graham DOES think that...then he is gonna be disappointed...McCain is NOT going to be the GOP nominees...

NOT as long as the Freepers have anything to say about it...from what I have gathered on this forum.

That Senator looks like a mad scientist...Alito showed him. The usurping business will probably be brought up over and over again. Them folks just can't believe that anybody is smarter than they are.

He's actually allowing Alito to answer questions.....very different from his bloviating compadres.
