Alito Hearings Set to Begin

Today the multi-day confirmation hearings for Samuel Alito begin. They are expected to last all week, possibly into Saturday. First up will be a series of opening statements by the eighteen members of the Senate Judiciary Cmte. After that comes the introduction of Samuel Alito and his opening statement.

NOTICE OF COMMITTEE HEARING

The Senate Committee on the Judiciary has scheduled a hearing on the nomination of Samuel A. Alito, Jr. to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States for Monday, January 9, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. in the Senate Hart Office Building Room 216.

Chairman Specter will preside.

it's like the cameramen are expecting Alito to look angry.

The 'Rats are still living in the Bork hearings much like their unwashed and unshaven moonbat supporters are still stuck on the Sixties. The playbook that generated a win against the unlikable Bork just won't work here. But, like a stubborn old college coach, they keep running the same plays and keep getting stuffed.

The 'Rats are just old and tired now -- like the Politburo before Gorbachev.
