Would you spend a #1 pick on a guy if you knew you'd get about 950-1000 rushing yards, 20-25 receptions, and 9-12 touchdowns out of him every year for five years? Why do you think that Bush won't be a very good NFL back? He isn't small and he hasn't been shown to be fragile. Big backs get hurt a lot too.

Yes...Shiner.
I love it...the only thing I don't miss about living in Austin is the politics.

Carroll was classy in defeat, but Leinhart was a total A-hole. "I still think we're the better team, but they just made the plays . . . blah, blah, blah."He'll get plenty of chances to learn humility in New Orleans...
To: BurbankKarl
anyone else think pete carroll looks like john kerry. my wife thinks leinart looks like donny osmond.
HOOK'EM HORNS!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not impressed how Matt Leinhart has handled himself in his post-interviews. Sounds like a sore loser.

Bless our defenses hearts because I almost gave up on them in the 2nd half! They mustard the strength and willpower to beat USC for the National Championship and that's all that matters. May God Bless Them & Hook 'Em Horns!

LenDale White is going to be a better NFL running back than Reggie Bush.Without his effort USC wouldn't have even been in the game tonight....
He has size which is important in the NFL...

Texas O line is top notch 3 All Americans thereThat is where it all starts. A team with a good offensive line will always be competitive. Look at how FSU sank like a rock after their offensive line was decimated.

Yes, but let's also remember that when Texas was down 31-26, Young threw a completion and USC forced the immediate fumble. The stupid and senile officals watched the replay and called it INCOMLETE. The single worst call in the NCAA all year! It was an obvious catch and fumble. No question whatsoever. Also, earlier, Young's knee was clearly down before tossing it for a TD. They didn't even bother to review it. Horrible officiating.
Wrong. It was incomplete because there was no "football move." You have to take a step in order for a pass to be complete.

Bush reminds me of a guy named Brent Fullwood -- who succeeded Bo Jackson as the tailback at Auburn and had a couple of great seasons. Averaged something like 8.3 yards per carry his senior season, and was a Heisman finalist that year.
He went very high in the draft (#6 to the Packers, I think) but never did much in the NFL. I think his straight-up running style worked fine in college but was a terrible match for the NFL game.
