Jolene Jonas, an Intel employee in Oregon, has been listing her company email (jolene.jonas@intel.com) on various webpages relating to the activities and transactions of the Oregon Democratic Party, as the contact email address.
While nothing should prevent an Intel employee from using her free time to pursue her political affiliations, use of company email address for this purpose should be expressly prohibited at Intel.
Are there any Intel Freepers here that can raise this issue within the company?

Different companies, different policies will govern. My company dismissed some people for non-company use of email, the union fought it, but company policy was upheld.
One person is still in the position of, "Would you like fries with that?" Lost a great job.
You don't understand, I don't care if she is a DNC hack, just don't use the Intel email for this purpose. She should use a private account (Yahoo, MSN, etc).
Send a complaint to abuse@intel.com, describing how corporate systems are possibly being misused for partisan political purposes.

I think this should've been handled without posting it on FR. She shouldn't be doing this with her work e-mail but putting it on here could potentially cause the folks at intel to get a HUGE number of complaints - or, at least, a disproportionate number. They might freak out and fire her, which I don't think is justified under the circumstances.

This is true, but most companies forbid use of company equipment for personal use. I knew of a lady who was fired for using company e mail to sell Avon products.
I knew a federal employee who was running her realty business out of her office.
The simple matter of the fact that an Intel employee
is using an Intal address, gives the strong appearance
that the activities carried out by the said employee,
are not only condoned, but approved of by the companys
management. The implication is strengthed by the fact
that the employee, has not been, told to disassociate
her political activies from being linked to her
employers business.
It can be constued, that Intel, is using it's corporate
assets and influence, to engage in partisan politics,
and also be seen as a political contruibution. And quite possibly place Intel in the legally actionable position for being charged with exceeding legal political contribution
limits.
I agree completely. Any company worth its salt has clear policies about personal use of company email and other resources. Even really liberal companies like Apple and Microsoft.
My employer would forbid this use of its email system not merely because it is being used for non-work related activities, but also because of concerns that I might import a Trojan Horse, virus, spyware, etc., that could effect the entire system. Perhaps Intel, being Intel, has safeguards that can prevent this. For their sake, I surely hope so.

I always have. Companies run usually run screaming from making political statements - in the case of employees using company resources (email addresses with somebody@intel.com) it is almost an explicit endorsement of the related activities.
Contact San Antonio or the business office that handles your account. If calling the business office, ask for a supervisor when you call, then ask for a phone number for corporate security. The corporate security office will be very interested in someone using company e-mail as you describe.
Because she may disagree with the conservative point of view? That sounds like the Democrat plantation for black people. Only one point of view is allowed.
I don't endorse what she does but I don't want to see her lose her job either.
