Gov DoLittle needs to be retired in 2006! He is incompetent to be nice -- hasn't a clue most of the time. He and his treasurer did a tobacco compact with the Indians and the State comes out on the real short end of the stick.

Guess when you don't get up until noon you don't get much done -- Gov DoLittle isn't called Gov Sleeps a Lot for no reason.

We can thank an Indy Richardson for getting 100,000 votes and Largent running a louzy campaign where he lost by 4500+ votes for giving us Gov DoLittle! BTW, Richardson, Keating's former law partner, is not back to being a Republican.

Wouldn't surprise me if they get stiffed. I cannot believe the sad shape some of these fire departments are in -- what did Gov DoLittle do with the first responder dollars?

IMHO Henry is a Doofus.

Winds are picking up again -- the gusts that I just heard outside were much stronger.

***OMG - friends of mine from the Gulf Coast in Mississippi moved in with relatives in Ok City because they lost their home.***

One of the men I work with used to live in OKC. After the tornado that ripped through it a few years ago he visited his old home and found nothing but a slab surrounded by other slabs.

If it's not fires it's tornadoes and more tornadoes and Dem governors.

We have one of those too, Edwin Edwards. He was crooked but smart. There's a difference. Blanko and your gov don't sound too smart and able to think on their feet during a crisis.

Sure can't disagree with that! Looks like the only group that is happy with Henry is the teachers. My daughter and her hubby both teach, and neither can believe the other teachers when they heap praises on the gov. They have gotten chicken feed increases in pay and insurance since he has been gov., but still lag behind every state we border including ARKANSAS!

All 3200 residents evacuated from Nocona, TX (between Wichita Falls and Gainesville.) Just showed a live shot, very, very long fire line on the northwest side of town, authorities say it is out of control.

BTW, a light smoke fog covers most of the DFW area.

** They have gotten chicken feed increases in pay and insurance since he has been gov., but still lag behind every state we border including ARKANSAS!**

Years ago people transfered to our company from Texas and settled in Oklahoma. They bragged about the good OK schools. Meanwhile, People living in Oklahoma were trying by hook or crook to get their kids in the Arkansas schools!

Arkansas schools have come up quite a bit from when I unfortunatly went to school there. Blame the upgrade on Wal-Mart!

Heh, I moved down here recently myself. On my side of town, you also get the Edmond effect... where it can be north 164th and south 15th and be the same street. Or even more fun, Edmond Rd.. unless you are in Edmond, in which case it's 2nd.. I think.

same here in Moore... "S 104th" is the same as "N 27th" and "S 119" is "N 12th" but then you get to past main street in Moore and "S 134" is "S 4th" between Santa Fe and Sunnylane... or is it Sooner(?)

I credit Mike Huckabee and also the fact that the Hildabeast is not still trying to run the Arkansas school system.

Actually it became better when David White accidentally won from some guy named Clinton. Mr C cried when he found he lost. After C got back in office his wife took the money away and distributed out to HIS vote constituency.

By golly, if Miss Enid Justin were still alive, she'd have been out there herding all those Noconans to a safe place and they'd have all had their best boots on.

When I was two, who was a friend of the Justin's had a pair of boots made for me. I do not still have the boots, but I have a great picture of a little girl in a velvet dress and her boots.

Like all Oklahoma news, the fires just entered the Houston TV news consciousness (something about that Red River blocks all communication to the south of it) and of course, it's "the whole city of OKC is on fire !!! and being evacuated!!! here's a resident now: "I didn't see no fire when I come outta muh house, but muh neighbor said "look" and there was flames just rat cheer!!"

Oops! We now interrupt the OKC report yet again for Breaking News Breaking News: Another apartment complex in Houston is on fire --- going now to the scene. "I wuz jest cookin' sumpin' here where I be stayun and alla suddenlike the flames wuz on da roof" -- Narrator in voice-over: Miss Washington moved here from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina ... "I'z her feeyonce and my three cuzzins jest died last week in that other apartment fire over on Bellfort." Narrator voice-over: Mr Cleveland recently re-located to Houston from Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina ...

This is why *Houston* was named "Texan of the Year" and why they don't bother to report our own 110 brush fires on TV.
