We live near FM902 and FM3496 in Cooke Co (Gainesville).

My farm is just a few miles from where you live. I've never seen it this dry, although 1980 came close.

That drought broke with a nice 10 inch rain the last weekend in September. Ten inches, no runoff, just absorbed fully and gratefully by a parched land.

Eastland County - still burning

Kokomo - destroyed

Carbon, Gorman, Desdemona - all evacuated - Eastland Co

TX Panhandle - 6700 acres in Donley Co near 70 homes

Mineral Wells - 6 homes burned; 1800 acres in Parker Co

Benbrook - Tarrant Co - 2 fires, now controlled, on vacant property

White Settlement - apartments and homes had been threatened, but no danger now, as all fire fuel has burned already

Cross Plains - Callahan Co - fires still burning in and around the town that had two deaths and lost dozens of homes earlier in the week
